A lot of creative teams are hired to deliver assets.
But the real value is often the system behind the assets.
Deliverables finish. Systems keep working.
This is from the first episode of The MetaCraft Room, a new conversation series by MetaCraft on creativity, culture, systems, and the work behind the work.
We opened up the room a little more.
To share how we think, build, and navigate creative projects behind the scenes. That became The MetaCraft Room.
A space for conversations around design, creativity, and Africa’s evolving creative ecosystem.
Here’s where it all started.
we are quick to welcome the unbeliever, but very quick to distance ourselves from the believer who is struggling. winning souls is important, but retaining souls matters too.
Coming back into this space because next year is no joke. P.O dropped a tweet that absolutely shook me to my core! I said, no problem na. As I dey pray, i go carry card for hand. That's how Israel and Nehemiah built the wall. Brick in one hand, weapon in the other.
A huge thanks to everyone who made it to @metacraftdesign first twitter live! Paul and I had a great time asking questions and talking about the creative career and the needed mindsets, skills, and knowledge we needed to have in this time and economy.
Not every creative career falls short because of a lack of talent.
Some fall short from no direction, no structure, and no long-term vision.
This session tackles that, bringing two creatives building with intention and structure.

A lot of young creatives are lost, and to be honest, I get it.
There’s so much noise now. Too many opinions. Too little real guidance.
A lot of people don’t even fully understand the industry they’re trying to enter. They don’t know the paths available, how to choose properly, how to keep growing, where the real opportunities are, or how to avoid the vultures and gatekeepers waiting to waste their time.
So next week, I’m speaking with @Praise_Toby on building sustainable creative careers in Africa’s economy, with @ddyslexiccr8ive moderating.
If you’re a creative trying to move with more clarity, this one is for you.
