It is timely that you shared this story.

Sorry about the experience, because no Nigerian has to face this evil. A kind of evil that the perpetrators do without leaving anyone in doubt as to their mission.

This is not a case of a non-indigene being discriminated against; it is an indigene being stripped of their heritage simply because they are Christians, let’s have it.

I just want to add that this practice only happens in northern Muslim states in Nigeria, and nowhere else. Whoever has a similar story of any predominantly Christian state that “revokes” the indigeneship of their indigenes simply because they are Muslims.

Gideon Odoma’s story is that of most, if not all, indigenous Christians from predominantly Muslim states of northern Nigeria.
