Jairam Ramesh tweeted in September 2024 that the Adani Nairobi airport proposal would spark protests turning into anti-India anger because of the Prime Minister’s so-called “special friendship” with Adani.

What actually happened tells a very different and disturbing story. Adani offered nearly $2 billion to upgrade Jomo Kenyatta International Airport under a concession model. The deal was cancelled in November 2024 after a coordinated campaign of protests, negative publicity, and a social media drive led by Kenyan influencer Nelson Amenya all fuelled by US allegations that have now been closed by the Department of Justice for lack of conclusive evidence.

Even a fake press release was circulated to damage Adani during this period.

Two years later, Kenya awarded a $2.9 billion contract almost 50% higher than the original Indian offer to a Chinese state-owned company. India lost a major private investment opportunity in East Africa. China gained strategic ground while Kenyan taxpayers were forced to pay significantly more.

Jairam Ramesh and the entire Congress party didn’t just stay silent they actively amplified this controversy from India. Their political attacks helped turn a legitimate commercial proposal toxic and made it easier for China to step in after an Indian company was pushed out. Was this really just political opposition, or was there something more deliberate behind it?

Congress has a long and consistent history of aligning with China. They had signed an MoU with the Chinese Communist Party and maintained that relationship for years. Whether it is weakening India’s stand on the border, opposing Indian companies abroad, or creating obstacles for projects that can strengthen India, Congress has repeatedly shown that it has no problem working against Indian interests when China stands to benefit.

When it comes to choosing between protecting Indian interests and helping China, why does Congress always seem to choose China?

Their actions in the Kenya airport case have once again exposed whose side they are truly on.

Deceptive headline. All petrol available in India is adulterated with ethanol, e20 being the standard (as declared on paper). The excise duty waiver has only been announced for petrol with over 22% adulteration with ethanol.

➡️25 years ago, when the IAF projected a requirement for 126 Medium Role Combat Aircraft, Sweden came to the table with the Gripen C fighter.
➡️The baseline Gripen C would likely have been cheaper than India's upgraded Mirage 2000s (which were already between 26-30 years old when the upgrade process started).
➡️Successive Air Chiefs checked out the Gripen. Many told me this was EXACTLY the aircraft that they were looking for at the time. Single-engine, nimble, genuinely multi-role, upgradeable. With robust EW systems and an unmatched man-machine interface.
➡️The Gripen ultimately failed the IAF's down-select and the Rafale was picked, though only 36 were eventually ordered. Many in the know openly say the Gripen didn't have a chance given the Tejas programme. The Swedish competitor was in the class of the Tejas and Make in India was the priority.
➡️Fast forward to 2026. Sweden is now inducting the Gripen F as is Brazil - a jet which is comprehensively superior to the Tejas Mk-1 which we have in service.
➡️Number of Tejas Mk-1As in IAF service: Zero.
➡️Number of Tejas Mk-2 prototypes: Zero
➡️The point is this: Delays matter. Capabilities cannot be stagnant and fighter-jet development projects cannot be a national level SUPW exercise.
➡️Debate all you want - I reiterate - there is only one word that matters - `capability.' You either have it or you don't.
➡️China isn't waiting around. Neither is Pakistan.

Vijeta Dahiya, who is a spokesperson of CJP, made a Haryanvi music video titled "Bhola Cutting Kara Le ."

In the song, Maa Parvati is shown saying:
"You smoke a chillum. Who will even consider you a god?"
To which the character portraying Shivji replies:
"I can't do anything about people who say 'Bam' and smoke a chillum. Being Sanghi is not a crime."

I find these lyrics deeply offensive. This guy literally questioned Shivji being a God, and if you watch the music video as well, it comes across as making fun of Hindu beliefs and traditions.

If this kind of mockery was done for any other religion, there would be massive outrage and demands for action. I will attach the link to the music video below this tweet. Kindly watch it yourself, report it if you find it objectionable, and also pressure the company to take it down.
