Ranabaali - First Half
A forgotten past is a stolen future
Dathatha ivvadaniki ah nawab gadu evadu…Tisukodaniki e English vadu evadu…
Evadra Dora…Evadiki Raa Dora…
The above three dialogues sum up the entire first half of the film. It started on a shaky note. After the initial 15 minutes, the film got on track and started to engage with each passing moment. Rahul Sankrityan stuck to the story which he wanted to convey and narrated in a sensible manner and also, managed to come up with a few commercial highs.
Vijay Deverakonda & Rashmika’s track, the sequence where the Britishers first visit the protagonist’s village, the pre-interval sequence and a couple of sequences which showcased the atrocities of the Britishers, stood out in the first half.
So far, the film have managed to be sensible, serious and yet fairly entertaining.
