DE PIE ANTE LA SELECCIÓN DE CABO VERDE.
This Is Why We Love Football” — Zlatan Ibrahimović
“People in the USA always ask me why football is the greatest sport in the world. Tonight is the answer.
A nation playing at its first FIFA World Cup stood across from the defending world champions, a team filled with players who have won everything, and they never showed fear for one second.
Cape Verde didn’t park the bus and pray. They defended like lions, yes, but they also believed they could score. They believed they could hurt Argentina, and they did it twice.
Their goalkeeper refused to surrender. Their defenders never stopped fighting. Every substitution brought fresh legs and fresh belief. Even when Messi reminded everyone why he’s one of the greatest players in history, Cape Verde simply got up and fought again.
That’s what impressed me the most. They never accepted that they were supposed to lose.
This wasn’t only the first World Cup match for Cape Verde. This was a message to every small football nation around the world.
You don’t need a population of fifty million to compete. You don’t need the biggest league or the biggest budget. What you need is personality, belief and courage.
Argentina are through, and they deserve credit because champions always find a way.
But Cape Verde leave this tournament with something equally valuable. They leave with respect. Every football fan who watched this game will remember the night a tiny nation stood eye to eye with the world champions and refused to blink.”

Having watched the Casemiro documentary it just reminded me how scandalous it was that David De Gea never got a proper send off.
Don’t get my wrong Casemiro deserved one too but for De Gea to not even get to say goodbye after being at the club for 13 years will never sit right with me.
🚨🗣️New: Thierry Henry reacts to the Brazil, Morocco, and Netherlands press conferences, where questions in Spanish were reportedly not permitted for Hakimi, Vinícius Jr., and Frenkie de Jong:
“I have covered World Cups for years, and this situation makes absolutely no sense to me. You’re telling me a World Cup co-hosted by Mexico can stop journalists from asking questions in Spanish? That’s like hosting a Formula 1 race and banning cars from using their engines.
We saw it with Hakimi. We saw it with Vinícius. Now we’re hearing similar stories involving Frenkie de Jong. The players understood the questions. The journalists spoke one of the most widely spoken languages on the planet. Yet somehow the language became the problem.
Gianni Infantino talks about inclusion, diversity, and bringing football to everyone. Fine. Then explain this contradiction. How can FIFA celebrate diversity in every promotional video and then create headlines because Spanish journalists are being told to switch languages at a tournament hosted by Mexico?
Spanish isn’t some obscure dialect spoken by a handful of people. It’s the language of hundreds of millions across the Americas and beyond. If a journalist from Mexico, Spain, Argentina, Colombia, or anywhere else asks a question in Spanish and the player understands it, why is football creating barriers where none existed?
The irony is unbelievable. FIFA keeps telling us football belongs to everyone, but this controversy has many fans asking whether some voices are more welcome than others.
Maybe there’s a logistical explanation. Maybe it’s a translation issue. But perception matters. And right now the perception is terrible.
Because what fans are seeing is simple: a World Cup hosted partly by a Spanish-speaking nation, players who understand Spanish, journalists who speak Spanish, and officials telling them not to use Spanish.
If that’s progress, somebody needs to explain it better. Because from the outside, it looks like football’s governing body is tripping over its own message.”
“FIFA wanted a celebration of diversity. Instead, they’ve handed the internet a controversy that won’t stop being discussed.”
What if Donald Trump was the commentator for the World Cup? 😂⚽
It could've been a goal. It wasn't a goal. It almost was. Many people are saying it.

En Alemania, la transmisión de los partidos del Mundial se ve como si estuvieras jugando al FIFA. 😳🇩🇪
Le ponen los nombres, las flechas arriba de la cabeza y hasta tiene el minimapa visual de los jugadores.
🚨 Jürgen Klopp has launched a scathing attack on the cooling breaks being used during this World Cup. 👊
"Football is being held hostage by executives sitting in air-conditioned offices.
These breaks are being presented as a shield for player welfare, a noble weapon against the heat. In reality, they are nothing more than a golden cage built for sponsors.
When I saw players standing around during cooling breaks while television timeouts dictated the rhythm of the match, I couldn't help but ask myself: who is the World Cup really serving?
The supporters? The players? Or the advertisers?
A World Cup match should flow like a river. Instead, we are building dams in the middle of it so commercials can be shown.
It's dangerous for the spirit of the game. Football used to be the main event, but it now risks becoming background music for an advertising show."
He didn't hold back. 👏👏
Get your 🍿 as this will be long. Putting it in pointers for me to write and also for you'll to read.
- Schengen Visa has just 2 rules for application. Apply from the country in which you have your max days stay throughout the current trip. OR. If max days are ditto same are in two or more countries in the current trip, then apply from the first country of entry. That's it. simple.
- Now if your max days are in France suppose you can enter via whichever country shown in the itinerary, and then go to France. No issues at all. Like if your plan is Rome (3 days) > Milan (2) > Geneva (2) > Zurich (3) > Strasbourg (3) > Paris (4). Max days is France and entering via Italy. No issues. This should be same when applying for a visa.
- Now suppose you want to not visit Rome but just want to do Milan and Venice etc then too its fine but have to explain to the visa officer if they ask about the change and tell max days are still in France.
- The Visa Officer wants to check if you'll do max days in France or not. Sometimes the travelers change the whole country and for the above trip skip Italy and enter via Finland for example. Again if your max days are in France, no issues, but the airlines can ask all and even the visa officer for such changes in plans etc. In the above trip you'll at least get an exit stamp from France when you leave which proves you visited France.
- It gets a bit trickier when max days are in the middle of the trip. No proof to show if you spend max days in the country of application. So airlines rely on stay bookings to check max days + immigration officers also may check the same and ask itinerary. Now when you re-apply, the Embassy can ask for hotel bookings from the previous trip so they can check if you really stayed in the country of application or visa shopped. Yes, sometimes they do ask.
- If you're a first time traveler just start your trip with the country shown and exit from whatever in plan. Don't try your stunts etc post visa approval. Build trust of the Embassy then miss visiting a particular attraction. Again this is a friendly advice and not a rule. Don't 🦘 on me with this and that.
- Changing stays post visa grant and most countries are fine with it but not Czech. Change them and your visa may get revoked. Do it while in Europe on a trip, and then too it can get revoked
- No comes layover flights. Your immigration happens at the first country of layover and then you head to your original country. That's fine and in case asked by the Embassy, why did you do Germany when your start country was France? You can share flight tickets / boarding passes etc. or stay bookings to show you did go to France.
- Some embassies even post multiple rejections or not so strong profile trust traveler with a Single Entry Visa and have a clause of they need to visit VFS/Embassy to show they are back in India post the visit. If such a visa is granted don't f**k around and follow what you showed. Your visa will be stamped the same etc. Check here: https://t.co/HqnLDEbeBq
- Suppose you showed a 12 day trip and were granted a 30 day visa and now want to add more days or lessen the days. That's fine too. The end goal is that the max days have to be in country of application. Also some countries want you to inform them in case of changing plans so check accordingly.
- Now to LTV (Long Term Visa) Visas. Suppose you got 1 Year LTV (Long Term Visa) with 90 days Visa. The first trip you do has to be the same as shown in the itinerary. Second trip on wards use the visa as a bus pass. No issues. Go any country and exit any country as your wish. Just follow the 90/180 rule. If a Visa officer or airlines questions just show the first visit in and out stamp and all will be good.
- If have a valid Schengen Business Visa and now I am going on a Tourism Trip. No, two Schengen Visa can be added in a passport for the same dates. For different dates you can surely have 2 visas. So if you have a valid visa and your purpose of trip changes you can make the trip. But if questioned need to explain. Again if this is the first trip max days rule applies.
- Understand this. During your lifetime you'll be visiting Schengen more than once so build your trust with the Embassy, rather than changing all to just see one attraction/city etc.
- Each traveler is different. Someone with heavy travel history may not be asked even if he/she changes country etc and doesn't follow any of the above. Or even with superb travel history can be asked to show all.
Hope this gives more clarity. Please don't 🦘 on me all the above is bullshit and I travel to Schengen and never followed any of this shit and had no issues. Someone may also tell me I went without a passport and had no issues, what you talking. 😂 You were able to visit without any of the above rules followed then Congrats. I am putting the info here for all the travelers.

As I always say a deal which doesn't suit your travel patterns or budget or as in your words a "Absolute Bullshit" is a Gem Flight Deal for another Traveller.
Also if layover is not your cup of tea, that's fine, and just skip the flight deal and take another one which doesn't have one. Simple.
- 42K on Singapore Airlines is a gem rate for the dates
- The flight has a nice layover time in which if the traveler wants, he/she can explore Singapore by self and come back late at night to the airport or stay at some place etc. Add visa cost.
- If someone wants to just explore the airport ample time for same + shopping + return leg so Duty Free etc
- One of the best airports of the world has tons of places to rest for the 14 hrs. All for free
Many travelers love layovers, if it's saving them some money or if it helps explore another country or explore the airport etc. I also post Business and First Class Deals. Each traveler has its own set of needs, wants, budget etc.
I always think 2006 WC was the most special for pure talent we saw.
Can any tournament beat it?
Italy - Pirlo, Cannavaro, Totti, Buffon
France - Zidane, Henry, Vieira, Ribery
Portugal - Figo, Ronaldo 7
Germany - Ballack, Lahm, Klose
Brazil - Ronaldo 9, Ronaldinho, Kaka
England - Beckham, Rooney, Gerrard
Argentina - Messi, Crespo, Tevez
Netherlands - RvN, RVP, Robben
Spain - Ramos, Torres, Xavi, Iniesta
Others - Drogba, Ibrahimovic, Larsson, Eto’o, Nedved, Shevchenko, Cech, Yaya T, Yorke
Kerala is one of the states where I rarely get complaints from travelers of they have been pushed to buy unnecessary services. What is the state doing which others can follow ?
