KITU strongly opposes the Karnataka Government’s decision to permit all IT and ITES companies to file self-certification for labour law compliance. Government’s withdrawal from its responsibility to enforce labour laws is unacceptable.

The Karnataka State IT/ITeS Employees Union (KITU) welcomes Karnataka Govt’s decision to implement 12-day paid menstrual leave annually.
Last December, KITU had submitted a memorandum to the Labour Commissioner, urging the Government to introduce this very policy.
An Advanced Excel bootcamp for students was organized by FIST at the KITU Headquarters in Bangalore. Comrade Sarika GS conducted the session. FIST is an initiative of the Karnataka State IT/ITeS Employees Union to connect the student community with the industry.
