Most people think classical music and comedy don't belong together.
That's exactly why Kolalu Com(edy) surprised me.
I walked into the theatre expecting a music performance.
Instead, I found myself laughing for two hours.
The story revolves around a strict Hindustani music teacher trying to train a student who seems completely unfit for classical music.
Sounds simple.
But the magic lies in what happens between discipline and chaos.
Between tradition and mischief.
Between a guru who demands perfection and a student who keeps testing his patience.
And then came the part I didn't expect.
Kolalu Com(edy) is not just a comedy.
It is a tribute to the legendary Yashwanth Sirdeshpande, one of the most respected names in Kannada theatre.
The play honors his legacy while introducing classical music to audiences in a way that feels accessible, entertaining, and deeply human.
Pandit Pravin Godkhindi's performance proves something important:
You don't have to dilute art to make it popular.
You simply have to make people care.
The biggest lesson I took away:
People remember what makes them feel.
Not what tries to impress them.
If you get a chance to watch Kolalu Com(edy), go with an open mind.
You may arrive for the comedy.
But you'll leave appreciating the music, the theatre, and the legacy behind it.

Today, I had the privilege to attend a beautiful concert by the Godkhindi Family. Pure talent. Classical bliss.

Close your eyes and listen to this. Mesmerizing. Peaceful. Everyone needs to listen to these beautiful pieces.
Share with your audience and make their evening as well.
Lots of love,
