As an individual, Vembu is entitled to his views.

India is heterogeneous, not homogeneous. A person or a state can have multiple identities, and being a Tamilian and an Indian is not mutually exclusive.

People in Tamil Nadu give equal importance to both identities and do not prioritise one over the other.

Indians routinely hold multiple identities without contradiction - that's a strength, not a weakness.

Many Americans despite having health insurance are one major illness away from depleting their wealth. There are many books on this subject. Lot of spending need to happen out of pocket. Health care insurance exclude many things.

We are following US model. Being a poor country, we should only have NHS model.

Needless to say, people who don't like her will love this openly or covertly. But we need to see the larger picture as well. The inability of security forces to rise above their personal grudges or religious issues is a worrisome sign.

The CISF protects not only the airports but also sensitive installations like nuclear reactors, space establishments, ports, oil fields, and power plants.

The time has come for the CISF to introduce sensitization and scanning for radicalization as well. Otherwise, much worse can happen.

It is natural to be humble and foolish to be arrogant. So many things have to perfectly fall in place for any action to succed. And we do not have any control over many of these things. Failure is the norm and success is an exception.
