a colleague of mine was about 4 months pregnant when she complained about my perfume making her feel uncomfortable and dizzy in the rudest way possible. i was so pissed. she conveyed the message in a very embarrassing way, and a part of me felt she spoke that way to me because i was an intern.

when i went home, still very much pissed, i told my mum everything and ended the gist with “because of how she spoke to me, i won’t be changing it.”

my mum laughed a bit, apologized on her behalf and gave me her Elizabeth Arden perfume to be using.

i reluctantly wore it to work the next day.
the first thing my colleague did was apologize for how she passed the message. she proceeded to gift me 2 different perfumes she felt wouldn’t make me feel like throwing up.
