Imo the swastika represents change. I think it's similar to the math symbols for addition or multiplication, but represents change over time. I don't consider it to represent the sun. Although I believe it could be used to describe change to the sun, astrologically or otherwise.
I think what I've done here with designing a precession adjustment system might be compatible with Jain cosmology. There is a cycle of change to 26k yr precessions, & a non repeating change to that cycle. That might be compatible with the logarithmic part of Jain time cosmology.
