Over 1,000+ designs created by me across the biggest football stages in the world for the 2025/26 season.
Leading this amazing design team at @PlayCope has been an incredible journey. I want to express my gratitude to my talented designers, @shegzy_designs, @vancini_es, and Steve, who have kept everything running smoothly, met every challenging matchday deadline, and maintained our high visual standards.
We’ve put in the hard work, and we’re ready to do it all again next season! 📈💼🎨💪
"I will drink garri in December, before Jan/Feb, I will have seen a job."
That was me in October 2021, speaking blind faith into existence.
At the time, I was doing a brutal weekly commute from Ibadan to Lagos for a design role. The pay was low, the stress was insane, and I’ll never forget the day I literally had to trek from Berger to Palmgrove (no cap)
I wanted remote work, but I knew the CEO wouldn’t accept it. So, while everyone was busy planning the office Christmas hangout, I drafted my resignation letter.
I took a massive leap of faith and dropped it on Monday. Zero backup plans.
God moved fast. Just 3 days later, a notification hit my phone: "We saw your profile on Behance and love your work. Are you open to a role?"
That same day, I had a 10-minute interview. By November, I was back home in Ibadan, working remotely for betPawa.
I still ended up drinking that December garri, but it hit different knowing a credit alert was officially on the way! 😂😂😂
Two months later, I went on Behance and searched for "sports/ graphic designer." My profile was sitting all the way on the 75th page. It made me wonder: what recruiter would honestly be patient enough to scroll through 75 pages just to find me? That part still shocks me to this day.
Looking back, I know that job didn’t come just because of my skills, but purely by the mercy of God.
The lesson? Even when things look bleak, never stop speaking life and positive confessions over your career. Keep pushing, keep putting your work out there, and watch God move.
