I understand that current state of our economy has forced a lot of people to find multiple sources of income BUT a lot of you have absolutely no business being entrepreneurs.
During my NYSC last year in Adamawa State, our CDS group visited a prison.
Till today, I genuinely don’t think I’ve recovered from what I saw there.
We went there with good intentions. We carried detergents, food items and other little things we thought would help them. The plan was simple talk to the inmates, encourage them, advise them and remind them that life could still change for the better.
The moment we entered the prison compound, the atmosphere changed completely.
One of the officers told us to drop all our phones inside a small office before going further. At first I didn’t think much of it, but the moment that door closed behind us, I started feeling uncomfortable. The silence inside that place was not normal.
As we approached, the officers ordered them to come out and sit on the floor for us. Around 70 of them slowly walked out and sat quietly without making noise.
Most of them were very young. Maybe around 21 to 28 years old. Boys that looked like they should still be in school or hustling outside trying to survive life.
But what shocked me first was their appearance.
Almost all of them looked extremely skinny. Their hair was completely barbed low to the point where you could clearly see the shape of their skulls. Not normal skinny… the kind that makes you uncomfortable when you look too long.
Then I noticed an old man sitting among them.
CZ might be wrong about this. Let me explain:
(He isn't, but check this out)
A lot of you might be wondering what all the fuss about Quantum computing is and its thread on crypto
Here is a simple breakdown:
The past:
Imagine you have a super secure lock on your treasure chest.
Right now, the lock has a puzzle so hard that it would take a regular computer 1,000 years to solve it. So your treasure is totally safe (well, till recently).
The entire crypto ecosystem is built on this puzzle and structure.
The problem:
Quantum computers are a different breed.
Instead of solving those puzzles one step at a time, they can sort of try many possibilities at once. So one day, those “impossible” puzzles might become… very solvable.
Not today though. Breathe, breatheee.
What’s actually at stake?
Not just crypto. Everything.
Your emails
Your private messages
Your banking info
and, government secrets (Yupp!)
And yes, crypto wallets too. Especially older wallets that have exposed their public keys before.
If quantum gets strong enough, it could theoretically reverse engineer private keys and move funds and stuff, right?
There’s also something a bit sneaky called “harvest now, decrypt later” where people can collect encrypted data today and just wait. When quantum is ready, boom, they unlock it.
So the risk is less of “instant troubles” and more like a slow ticking clock. Tik….tok….tik…tok…
The Solution:
What’s being done about it? A lot but quieter.
New forms of encryption are already being built that even quantum computers would struggle with.
Big tech, governments, and crypto devs are working on upgrades. Bitcoin devs are already discussing future changes. The threat isn’t being ignored AT ALL.
But there’s a catch.
Upgrading global security systems is not like updating an app. It takes years, very careful steps, multiple testings, and even coordination.
So yes, people are preparing. It’s just not loud.
So does this whole thing mean for YOU?
Honestly, nothing urgent.
Your funds are not about to disappear because of quantum next week, chill. But it does mean that the space is evolving.
The same way the internet evolves, crypto will have to, too.
If anything, this is a huge reminder that “set it and forget it forever” isn’t how tech or web3 works.
After understanding all these, what can you do about it?
Keep it simple.
- Stay updated
- Use modern wallets and platforms
- Also, very importantly, avoid leaving large funds in very old, inactive wallets
- Pay attention when major upgrades or migrations are announced
You don’t need to become a quantum expert or anything. Just don’t be asleep or unbothered.
In short, Quantum's the next big shift, coming slow but surely.
There are defenses in the works also, for example, the Quantum-Resistant Algorithms CZ mentioned.
Hope you understand now?
I started using Temu this year and I’ve not had any regrets.
Pro tip when shopping: If you have a small frame as a lady, order ALL your clothing items in Small. Not medium. You go shape tire.
When ordering shoes, if you’re a size 37 like me, check the size chart, for the UK size chart, size 37 should be 3.5 or 4. Always click on the size chart to know your true size in order countries measurements standard.
To ascertain the quality of what you’re buying, always click the next button to see more close-up pictures to gauge the quality.
Lastly, read descriptions. Don’t just look at the pictures and assume you’re getting what’s in there. Read the descriptions and reviews on the product.
If SpeedAf is the delivery company delivering your items, you’re sure to get it in 2 week’s time.
If the delivery drivers move mad and try to siphon money from you by telling you to pay them extra money before getting your item, lodge a complaint to customer service. It will be sorted out.
Happy shopping. 🛍️
I don't know if I should be sorry or proud of my husband.
Over the weekend, my in-laws came to visit. We all sat around the dinner table when his older sister made a comment about the food I cooked.
Before I could even respond, he looked at her and said, "That's how we like it here.
When you get back home, you can cook yours the way you like it."
The table went silent. I held my breath.
Because standing up to family like that? It's never small, it echoes.
He didn't soften his tone. He simply drew a line, right there, in front of everyone.
And in that moment, I realized my husband isn't just my partner. He's my defender.
I know they'll probably call a family meeting about him later... but me? I'm nothing but proud.
I’m a very very big Asake fan. I can’t explain it. The boy just dey always give me joy! Lagos island boy way them almost write off growing to become one of the biggest and best in his field. Very relatable and Inspiring guy. He motivates me everyday!
Simi was asked the first meal she would make for her husband after the wedding
She said she will make Noodles and egg or pizza.
She even went on afterwards to clap for herself for her answer.
Her husband Femi wasn't a bit alarmed or even showed any form of surprise at her answer.
You could obviously tell he was very cool with it.
I chuckled and smiled at them.
Moreso, I smiled at the diversity of Human preferences.
It made me remember a friend who is married to a man whose favorite meal is Tea and bread.
If you wanted to make the most amazing meal for him, just set him a cup of Tea and bread.
His second favorite meal is Golden morn or noodles.
You see, this friend is such a great cook and had fantasies on how she would spoil her husband with different delicacies, only to now be married to a man who absolutely didn't care.
Infact, if you spent an hour making food in the kitchen, he saw it as an absolute waste of time.
Human preferences!
Again, I remember another friend who's husband is the cook of the home.
This girl doesn't know how to make the most basic meals and her husband is so comfortable covering it up for her while she learns.
Recently, he even bought her a car.
Human preferences!!
Again, I remember living with a lady and her husband many years ago.
Her husband needs her to make him fresh meals everyday and even after almost 25 years of marriage she never complained.
He doesn't Eat out or even eat any meal made by anyone aside her.
She doesn't travel because her husband always needed her around for even the most basic things like drawing a bathing water.
On the outside, you would pity her but if you came close, she was absolutely enjoying her marriage.
Human preferences!
I have intentionally brought all of these scenarios to show us how diverse human preferences can be.
In the real world of Relationship and marriage, there is no one size fits all.
Everyone must learn to understand their own person and do what absolutely works for them

Today is her birthday, and I cannot let the night pass without appreciating the amazing woman she is. She has a way of bringing warmth, laughter, and peace into my life in a way that is difficult to explain. Having her in my corner makes the good days better and the tough days easier.
So tonight, I am raising a small toast to my babe.
May this new year of your life bring you joy, growth, good health, and all the beautiful things you deserve. If you are reading this, please drop a birthday wish for her and help me make her night a little more special. 🎉
