@GenCounsNews @GeisingerRsrch Hi Leslie! Eventually webinar recordings are stored on the SIG page. Login to NSGC, then go to my communities, PM SIG, then click on the ‘library’ tab and select the folder PM SIG Webinars.
If you missed the live PM SIG Webinar from @GeisingerRsrch Karen Wain on returning #MyCode results to individuals with developmental brain disorders, you can listen to the recording AND still get CEUs!
Was great to see @GeisingerRsrch highlighted on the @GeneticCouns PMSIG today! So interesting to hear about experiences of returning #MyCode results for CNVs! Personal utility is high for those learning about genetic cause for history of developmental brain disorders. #GCChat
There was an absence of polyposis (>10 adenomas) and cancer diagnoses in a cohort of unselected patients with P/LP variants in APC. 3 patients had a history of fewer than 10 adenomas, none meet clinical evaluation criteria for FAP or attenuated FAP. #ACMGMtg19
@GeisingerRsrch@RochaHeather 14 MyCode patients w/ a P/LP APC results. 3 had a prior clinical diagnosis of classic FAP. 11 (2 males, 9 females) median age 55 (range 37-84). 2/11 (19%) (ages 37,40 years) w/ classic FAP variants but no personal hx of adenomas. #ASHGMtg19
9/11 (81%) patients (ages 39-84) had variants predicted to result in an attenuated phenotype; 8 of these patients have completed at least one colonoscopy. 5 (45%) had no adenomatous colon polyps diagnosed to date. #ACMGMtg19
