Another reminder of how fragile stability is in the private sector. One secures employment, income begins to flow, long-term plans take shape, home, car, loans, EMIs. And then, a single decision by the corporate to “rationalize” or “downsize,” and everything collapses overnight.

Unless you quickly re-enter the job market, fixed liabilities don’t pause; they compound stress and can upend an otherwise steady life.

While you earn, you must pay taxes. The moment you lose your job, you’re on your own. In fact, you even have to pay tax on the severance also.

Maybe it’s time to introduce reforms, such as mandating severance pay ranging from three months to one year based on an employee’s tenure, as is the norm in the West; allowing EMI pauses for a 3-6 months; and providing a time-bound monthly allowance from the govt for involuntary job losses.

If Ladla/Ladlis can get free money, free ration, free water, and electricity, without paying any income tax, why not support a worker who has been paying taxes and contributing?

What @BeerBicepsGuy said was wrong. And, outright stupid.

But, honestly it is sad to see political machinery going after him personally.

We have rich kids, who are outright murderers: roaming free. Atul Subhash's murderers are roaming free. People are dying slow death in cities like Delhi due to pollution.

There are real problems to be solved.
Not what someone said. And, how crass it was.
What he said was ugly to the core, no doubt.

People have the right to express their viewpoint. But this type of mob lynching is not correct. It can really break people.

The punishment for stupidity shouldn't be this high.

I received this message in my DM from a girl who committed su!c!de.

The day after my su!c!de, I loved my mother even more, when I saw her crying on the floor of my room, hugging my clothes with my photos scattered around her, I saw so much love past the tears in her eyes.

She remembered the times we played, talked and argued together in our beautiful childhood. Treasured moments.

The day after my su!c!de, I felt how important I was to my best friends. They were looking at all our pictures together...remembering the laughs we shared.

The day after my su!c!de, I felt the sorrow in my teachers. They blamed themselves for not noticing.

At night I went to the morgue to look for myself and said: "So many dreams we had"

“So many people to meet",

"You had so many people that loved you, yet you threw it all away?

You have to have a lot of courage to take your life. Why didn't you use that courage to win?"

Thank goodness that was just a vision.”

Raised a complaint on 5th of April and it’s still pending.
Customer support and assigned service centre have stopped receiving my calls/replying to my messages.
Summer is at its peak and I can’t even use my cooler
