भारतीय नागरिक सुरक्षा संहिता की धारा -184 के अनुसार महिला के विरुद्ध गंभीर अपराध में 24 घंटे में पीड़िता का मेडिकल परीक्षण और 7 दिन में रिपोर्ट अन्वेषण अधिकारी को सौंपना अनिवार्य।
