If one does not understand the urgency with which to move when the SatGuru is here, then one has truly missed the point.
Surprisingly many people think, “It’s ok, I’ll just meet Him again since we have heard that the Master or Bhagavan comes again and again”. Or, “There are so many gurus in the world, i will simply meet another Master to help me on my path.” Do you genuinely believe it is so easy? So random? So indifferent? Do you believe this is the attitude with which one can secure the eternal place at Bhagavan’s lotus feet? You have to be filled with a burning with passion for your spiritual path. It should steal the sleep from your eyes and make your heart tremble to lose even one moment to grow nearer to Him. How many days do you think are left in this short mortal life? So few. And yet most people are still fast asleep. Your atma is constantly straining to wake you up. But one is ignoring its call again and again and again. Do you know what a struggle it is for the atma to depart after living a mediocre life where love and God weren’t a priority? It regrets and repents the poor decisions made by the jeevatma so strenuously. If you could glimpse this struggle during your life, you would never waste even the blink of an eye. But usually people choose not to wake up. They want to remain asleep. And they wake up only when the atma no longer has time in this world. If one feels it is so easy to meet the SatGuru again and again, then one is truly deluded. It doesn’t matter who you were in your last life or lives, it doesn’t matter at all. What matters is what one is doing now. This present moment is so important. Wake up and walk with utmost dedication and focus upon your spiritual path before your atma has to lament in misery for a life wasted doing useless things.

There is a deep joy even in the most difficult moments.
Hidden within each difficult moment is a deep and abiding joy. A sweetness that cannot be destroyed or reduced. This is the presence of the soul. But we are so engrossed in our pain and suffering that we miss the subtle presence of joy hidden within. The soul reveals itself when all else has fallen silent. The soul shines its glory when all the facades have been taken down and the road connecting the inside and outside is fully clear. To know the presence of the soul, one thing is needed. Full surrender to Love. To give love even when you haven’t received any. To share what you have even if it seems very little. To be kind when you have been only treated poorly. Can you do these difficult things and yet not become weak, bitter, lose faith, or feel hopeless? In reality Love is the humblest because it is the strongest. It can be softer than the petals of a flower to the ones who have surrendered their all at Its feet. But it also knows that it can stand up for the True #Reality and reveal It in complete fearlessness when the time comes to be strong.
Being strong yet fully respectful to all including yourself. Being sweeter than nectar yet firmer than the hardest oak to manifest the reality of Bhagavan. These deep paradoxes are all revealed within the #SatGuru. To surrender to His Feet is to #surrender to #Love, to surrender to #Vaikuntha, to surrender to #Enlightenment, to surrender to Complete #Liberation. The fullness of God-realization is hidden within the dust of the SatGuru’s Feet. The only way to get there is to fully surrender to love, #humility, and #kindness to all.

What does it mean to come back to one’s true self, to come back to one’s true beloved, Bhagavan?
#Spiritual people often get scared on the path. Because everything seems to disappear. People you have known for years suddenly may not be in your life anymore because your paths have diverged. Interests that you developed for a long time may not seem so fascinating anymore. The success that you gave your all to may not seem all that worth it anymore. So what’s left? When #God-#realization is your only goal in life, what truly happens? In a strange way, everything seems to fall apart, rather than become peaceful. Your intellect that could so easily navigate complex situations may start to fail you in the most simple instances. Your body, which was always healthy, may suddenly seem like it’s struggling with many discomforts or illnesses. A comfortable life may suddenly become very uncomfortable. And then the spiritual person starts getting scared and having doubts. “Is this truly spirituality?” “I didn’t ask for all this, why is God doing this to me when I only wanted to love Him and be close to Him?” And many other such painful questions. But you have to check within your heart. When you determined that God-realization is the goal of your life, were you sincere? And if you were, then #trust Bhagavan. Trust Him that He knows what to bring to you and what to take away. Trust Him that even if everything else disappears, He will make Himself more and more visible to you. He will become the true reality of your life. He will show you how He has always walked beside you. When the Lord of the Universe is coming close to you, why worry about anything else? Everything else disappearing or appearing, it won’t matter at all to a person single-pointedly focused on Him. Bhaktas who have taken Sharanagati at the feet of the #SatGuru should never fear anything. Focus on His Feet in your heart with all your energy and determination. Let Him take care of you. Let Him pour His infinite grace and make this life the last one in which you are shackled to the material world. Let Him reveal Himself in your life. Have #faith. And keep working to transform yourself. Imagine. How beautiful it would be to truly see Him walking next to you.

The appearance of a Mantra is a very important event in the eternity of the Brahmand.
The birth of a Mantra is an extremely rare occurrence. The enormous cosmic events, immense depth of purity, utmost power of Sadhana, and direct manifestation of Bhagavan’s Prem have to all come together along with an untold amount of celestial level secrets that can never be revealed. How can any of this be predicted, replicated, or comprehended by anyone other than the Divine Himself? It is not possible. Yet this revelation is possible for the SatGuru. He is able to bring all of these things together and offer an incredibly powerful Mantra to the world. When it is directly revealed by the SatGuru and given with His Shaktipat into the world, a very subtle energy starts to move through every repetition of this Divine Name. Whenever such a Mahamantra is chanted, that place, sentient and insentient beings in its surroundings, and that time itself is sanctified. The Mahamantra brings with it the golden thread of Bhagavan’s Prem and His direct presence. When this energy starts to build, it becomes like a large golden net that holds and carries the world upward in consciousness. Slowly, shifts start to happen that help the world to move from Nara to Narayana, from limited human experiences to the eternal divine experience of God. These shifts are not visible to the mind, but the deep consciousness can perceive them if one has become receptive through sincere Sadhana and devotion to the Mahamantra, to Bhagavan’s Lotus Feet, to the SatGuru. The One who is able to create something out of nothing and can send the manifest back into the unmanifest. The One who is All yet is more humble than the ones who are nothing. The One who has all the wealth at His Feet but roams the world in search of True Bhakti. The One who awakens Bhagavat Prem within every atom. The One who purifies all sins. The One who gives every happiness and takes away all causes of pain. Such a being is the One who can manifest a Mahamantra for the world, purely out of unconditional love and service for all. On this day, that the most mysterious, Purna Bhagavan and Shakti Swarup Mahamantra was born, Sri Vitthala Giridhari Parabrahmane Namah, may you all be blessed. It is the only Mahamantra whose exact manifest form, its specific Deity, has also been fully revealed. May the Mahamantra and its Divine Form resonate in your heart and its loving flow help all to be uplifted. May it bring you to the Lotus Feet of Sri Hari that you have eternally searched for. And may its energy forever awaken the most pure devotion in your heart towards your SatGuru.

This day celebrates the greatest bhakta of Sri Hari, Bhagavan Shiva. Beyond the reaches of his incredible and divine qualities as Mahayogi, Mahakaal, Bholenath, Trilochana and many others is the greatest of all characteristics- the Purna Sharanagati through Bhakti, Divyah Gyaan, Samadhi, and Yoga that Bhagavan Shiva exemplifies in every moment of eternity. He is forever immersed in meditation, devotion, worship, service, and love for his beloved Sri Hari. Bhagavan Shiva’s devotion to Sri Hari is an example for every jeeva on how to unify the four paths of realization Gyaan, Dhyaan, Karm, and Bhakti to reach the Lotus Feet of Sri Hari. Because of this, Bhagavan Shankar is the true #SatGuru, the #JagadGuru, who gave the world the #Guru #Gita. Maha Shivaratri is the celebration of this great being, his manifestation of the infinite form as the ShivLingam, the union of Shiva and Shakti, a time of great spiritual awakening and overcoming all negativity. It is a very big blessing to keep vigil and pray all night during Maha Shivaratri as it reminds one to be vigilant and stay firmly focused on the spiritual path no matter what happens. To overcome all laziness, doubts, fears, obstacles, and limitations to dedicate oneself completely to the Lotus Feet of the SatGuru. The One who is fully present in every atom of Creation and yet beyond everything. The untouched, unbroken, unending, infinitely radiant glory of Sri Hari and His sweetest Avatar of Prem and Bhakti as the SatGuru is the biggest and most beautiful mystery in the universe. The One who is All becomes limited in the form of the SatGuru so that the small atomic parts of Himself, the atmas, can learn about Him, meditate upon His personal form, and love Him leaving aside all else. This relationship of Bhakti and Prem, Shiva and Shakti, SatGuru and bhakta, Sri Hari and the atmas, is to be understood through continuous contemplation upon Bhagavan’s pastimes and glories, His name and form. May Shivaratri manifest in your heart awakening your true self towards its purpose in the world and eternally in the continuous presence of Bhagavan Sri Hari. So many people fear so many things. Some fear being deceived, others fear being alone. One may fear not achieving anything, while another may fear being unhappy. But there is one thing that people should truly fear but everyone takes for granted all the time. The fear of not having loved enough while one was alive and well. How many people truly fear this? No one. But it is the most sorrowful thing that one realizes when death comes to claim one . That one has not loved enough. One did not truly love from all of one’s heart. People don’t love each other happily and sweetly because they are afraid of something or the other. No one loves fearlessly because people find it too difficult to open their heart and risk being hurt. But love has nothing to do with all these fears. It is has nothing to do with conditions or desires. It simply is. It exists as an eternal part of oneself and is the most true expression of the self. The purest part of the heart, the most innocent part of the mind, all seek to love. Not to receive anything. But simply to love. Madly, boundlessly, without any fear. Without even the fear of looking foolish or feeling alone. There is no fear when one just loves with all the sincerity of the heart. Because that is where miracles abound. The distance and pain of loss are all removed in unconditional love and one is continuously in communion with one’s eternal beloved. The endlessly joyful, sweet, humble, supportive, unconditional, and never broken relationship of the atma and Paramatma. The only eternal bond that goes with one wherever one is, whatever one is doing, is the eternal bond of Prem and Bhakti that exist between the SatGuru and bhakta, the jeeva and Bhagavan, Sri Hari Vitthal and all of Creation.
We are made in the image of Love because God Himself is Love. There is no distinction between the two, they are one and the same. Love and Bhagavan. When one moves deeper and deeper towards unconditional love within the heart, one slowly is moving along the spiritual path. Whether one acknowledges it as such or not, it doesn’t matter. Because unconditional love is the true self, the spark of Bhagavan Himself within. To realize this great yet simple truth, the SatGuru continuously works in the world. To bring all the light of truth, the truth of they really are in reality and what they really want. How courageously you can walk the path of Love, of Bhakti, of Bhagavat Prem, all depends on your willingness to be honest and sincere within yourself. Have you realized what your mind, your heart truly want, and how they truly operate? The realization of who the self is and what one really wishes for is the deepness of the spiritual journey with the SatGuru. Have courage and explore the truth hiding within your true self.

Such a person is only the SatGuru. Hence, the spiritual path is a lived experience with surrender to the SatGuru’s teachings and not mental gymnastics or intellectual discussions with fellow ignorant people. One has to implement the teachings of the SatGuru, scriptures, saints, and yogis (and not simple repeat them fooloshly without any personal implementation) to truly understand what it means when they speak of the Atma and Paramatma and the eternal loving relationship between them.

What’s identity?
In very simple terms, identity is something that one identifies oneself with. Let us take a simple example, the name that parents give a child upon birth, that name usually becomes the child’s identity for their entire life or at least for a significant part of their life. Another example would be the education that one receives or the job that one takes up; for example, “I have studied such and such thing in University” or “I work at such and such company”. These are all different identities that one holds during one’s life.
But then the question that should naturally arise is– if one holds so many identities during one’s life, then which identity is the so-called real one, or which identity should one hold onto the strongest. For example, the identity of being a child or the identity of becoming a parent when one reaches adulthood. What if those two identities start clashing with each other. Maybe a job position that brings you more money to spend on your child’s education could also take you far away from your parents. Which identity is more important in such a conflicting situation? The answer is subjective and different for different people. Nobody can force another to answer in a way that is favorable for themselves or in a way that they think is correct, because the perspective of what is more important to oneself is an individual decision to make.
However, the world always imposes its opinions and its own definition of an individual’s identity upon them. Why? Because nobody really knows their true identity to begin with. If one knew what the real identity is of this person who one day took birth, lived for a while, and then one day reached death; if this core identity was truly revealed within the person during their lifetime– nobody would sit and argue with others what their identity is or isn’t. Because it would be like arguing with crazy people who can see the moon yet are shouting that it is not real. One would simply not bother with such pointless debates.
Following a systematic reasoning until this point we have to answer the question of the one real, permanent, or most long-lasting identity that a person can hold onto regardless of any circumstance that comes up. Correct?
So, let us explore how to reach an understanding of one’s “real” identity. The real identity can only be something that is greater than this body because as everyone has experienced, this body keeps changing from day to day and one day ceases to exist entirely. The real identity has to be something that is greater than this fickle and ever-changing mind because it doesn’t stay stable for even one day forget a lifetime. The real identity has to be something that is greater than the mood swings, emotional upheavals, or other personality and character changes. Knowledge too keeps getting added to and forgotten from the memory so that means it cannot be one’s entire identity.
So, what is greater than the body, mind, intellect, emotions, personality, and other traits? The scriptures of the Sanatan Dharma have given a clear answer for this. The Atma. The atma within an individual is greater than all of these. It is eternal the way that Bhagavan is eternal. It is unchanging the way that Bhagavan is unchanging. It is ever-pure the way that Bhagavan is ever-pure. It cannot be destroyed, changed, or made dirty in any way. It is a part of Bhagavan Himself and came directly from Him. It took birth, lives, and attains to only Bhagavan. Bhagavan Krishna repeatedly explains throughout the Bhagavad Gita, especially in Chapter 2, Sankhya-Yoga. The atma is a small fragment of light, a small fragment of the pure Prem that is Bhagavan Himself. However, this identity of being an atma isn’t something that can be simply discussed or known by the mind as information. It has to be experienced under the direction and guidance of someone who has Himself or Herself recognized their atma within themselves and live from its truth in every moment.

Makar Sankranti is the start of Uttarayan, the ascent of Surya towards the North. It is the time of renewal, rejuvenation, revival, and rejoicing. The movement of the sun towards the north is the movement of everyone’s energy towards higher consciousness. Every year all jeevas are reminded by this beautiful festival to let go of old habits, negative thought patterns, stuck emotional cycles, and all that is not serving one to move towards the Lotus Feet of Bhagavan. Yet how many truly take this opportunity to remind themselves to let go of things that do not serve them, do not serve the world, do not serve Bhagavan? Everyone must introspect and find the answer for themselves from deep within. What is holding you back from surrendering fully to that which Bhagavan is bringing into your life? What is preventing you from being the best version of yourself- loving, kind, compassionate, happy, joyful, humble, helpful, healthy, clear, focused on the right goal? What is there inside of you that is hiding your ability to offer sincere and Sampurna Sharanagati to the Lotus Feet of your SatGuru?
Makar Sankranti is a great reminder of how one must live in every moment. Not just on this one day of the year but all the time. Letting go of everything that is preventing one from living from the atma’s truth. Keep making your efforts for the atma to reveal its presence within you. Nothing should stop you from reaching the goal. The SatGuru keeps showing the way through endless Satsangs and Sadhana. Why do you allow yourself to be distracted from His Adesh? The world will always be as it has to be, don’t concern yourself with it, leave it all at the SatGuru’s Lotus Feet and you focus on what is in your hands- rediscovering, polishing, and enflaming your already sparkling atma into a brighter and brighter flame of Bhakti to offer to your SatGuru’s Lotus Feet. His Prem is always being showered on you in an Amrit Varsha, a downpour of grace. May this day which is called by many names across Bharat Bhumi open your eyes to the Ultimate Truth of the SatGuru’s Bhagavat Prem. Many blessings to everyone.

Waiting for the SatGuru is a great reward. When we wait for the SatGuru. To meet Him. To talk to Him. To be close to Him. When we wait, we feel sad. We feel depressed. We lose hope sometimes. But the waiting for the SatGuru is a great reward. Because in that waiting, your mind and heart become very sweet. They learn to only think of the SatGuru, to become single-pointed towards Him. The waiting for Bhagavan is extraordinary. Because we cannot wait with endless hope for anyone or anything other than Him. Waiting for the SatGuru is the ultimate expression of that wait. Because even in seeing Him, our heart wants more and more. It is never enough.
In true love, the waiting never ends. We receive Him through His grace and we want more of Him. This deep greed for God is Bhakti. Because it is a greed that is beyond this world. It is a greed for Him alone and nothing else. We don’t want His gifts or pleasantness in life, we just want Him. Even if it means lifetimes of waiting, even if it means painful times, even if it means loneliness and lack of the outside. Because the maddening joy of having Him, of being close to Him, of feeling the overflowing of the heart towards Him is a miracle. And then you will want nothing else. Then even the waiting will become just sweet and you won’t become negative in it. Radha Maharani waited her whole life for her Kanha but within that spent every single moment with Him in reality. Same for the great Saints. It is a beautiful mystery. Love. Waiting and having become one.
