On This Day in 1985 - a 1-0 win for West Ham United against Norwich City. A crowd of 16,233 was at Upton Park to see the Hammers claim all three points with a goal from Bobby Barnes. West Ham finished the season in 16th place with 51 points, while Norwich (who won the League Cup that season) were relegated in 20th position with 49 points. The West Ham programme for the match cost 50p and featured 28 pages. Take a look at all the Division One programmes for 1984/85 at https://t.co/nRkNCoA4Cr #WHUFC #NCFC
On This Day in 1991 - a 6-2 win for Derby County over Southampton at the Baseball Ground. A crowd of 11,680 was in attendance to see a rampant Rams team take all three points with goals from Paul Williams (3), Dean Saunders (2), and Justin Phillips. Matt Le Tissier and Rodney Wallace replied for the Saints. This was however a rare high point in a season of struggle for Derby - indeed their only league win since the start of December - with the club relegated in 20th place. Southampton meanwhile finished 14th. Derby's programme for the 1990/91 season ran to 32 pages and cost Β£1.
