The fun will continue in April. Look for me, likely to be @MSHSLTim when we begin the new chapter. I know we will have a blast together.

As @Preps_Now walks into the sports journalism sunset, my heart is full of thanks and gratitude to all for this wonderful adventure.

[PiPress Tim Leighton @Preps_Now]

It's over: @HopkinsRoyals are your Class 4A girls bb state champions with a 68-60 victory over @EVHSAthletics

[PiPress Tim Leighton @Preps_Now]

I can't envision a Brian Cosgriff-coached team, especially one this good, blowing a 13-point lead with 3:39 left.

[PiPress Tim Leighton @Preps_Now]

That bank shot for three by Holle was golden. That might have spelled doom for @EVHSAthletics @HopkinsRoyals up by 13, with 10:47 left

[PiPress Tim Leighton @Preps_Now]

That was a vicious three-pointer by Bates. @HopkinsRoyals going for the jugular? They are up by nine and appear to be revving up.

[PiPress Tim Leighton @Preps_Now]

It appears that @HopkinsRoyals heard the wake up call at halftime. They open second half on an 11-2 run to build 39-32 lead.

[PiPress Tim Leighton @Preps_Now]

.@HopkinsRoyals on an 8-0 run to open second half.

[PiPress Tim Leighton @Preps_Now]

@lisacat729 @coachtma I totally agree. Classy coach, official and person.

[PiPress Tim Leighton @Preps_Now]

Michael Sheridan of @EVHSAthletics gets my vote for manager of the year.

[PiPress Tim Leighton @Preps_Now]

Two besties: Madison Guebert of @EVHSAthletics and manager Michael Sheridan

[PiPress Tim Leighton @Preps_Now]

We've got ourselves a war here, folks. Rachel Ranke hits a three-pointer at the buzzer to give @EVHSAthletics a 30-28 lead at the break. Wow

[PiPress Tim Leighton @Preps_Now]

A slow slugfest favors @EVHSAthletics
