Happy Birthday IPC !

This day [1 January], in the year 1862, Indian Penal Code 1860 had come into force.

This code defined the crime and punishment for Indians for 162 years and still continues to do so.

Even after, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, comes into force, IPC and caselaws interpteting it will remain relevant since most of the provisions of BNS are copy paste from IPC.

IPC may not live long now as it will be repealed by BNS - but the spirit of IPC will continue to live through BNS !

@Amittelupura It'a been 2 years that no notification of Master Cadre is released. Why government is not concerned ..shame to say that we have cracked #PSTET but waiting for so long just to get notification and that not sure whether it will ensure employment.where is my right to livelihood?

We all NHRC interns went to Tihar Jail. I realised jails are correctional homes and how it can give a new identity to delinquents. However, the major problem I faced was that of overcrowding. I request the govt. to please look into this issue.
