They are the workforce engine of this nation—producing the technicians, nurses, welders, IT specialists, and skilled tradespeople our economy actually needs.

It’s time we treat them that way.

Having guardians in schools is one of the most effective ways to ensure highly trained personnel are in place to respond to an active assailant.

HB 757 extends the guardian program to postsecondary institutions, ensuring students have access to safe and secure learning environments.

This week, I had the privilege of visiting @LSSCedu and meeting with President @repjohntemple to explore the outstanding programs and opportunities shaping students for the jobs of tomorrow. I also had the honor of presenting a scholarship check from the @FLCollegeSystem Foundation for nursing students, which will help cover the costs of their college experience, equipping them to achieve their dreams.
