Proud to partner with @preserve to reduce the impact of plastic on our planet! This year alone, Grove will save 1 million pounds of plastic from entering the oceans. 🌊🌊
Each year, an estimated 9 million tons of plastic enter our oceans, littering beaches, clogging waterways, and affecting marine life. #BCorps@Preserve and @GroveCollab are working to address that issue. #BtheChange https://t.co/un1fFLArv9
@earthtalking We don’t currently have a local recycling option in the UK and the environmental impact of a toothbrush traveling back across the Atlantic can outweigh the benefits of recycling it. Instead, we recommend that you use your toothbrush for as long as possible in other applications
@earthtalking Hello, Emma! Thank you for the question. While we love to take our toothbrushes back for recycling, we typically don’t recommend returning them from overseas.
@PennyRich We continue to explore other options, revisiting paper, and also exploring how we can integrate recycled materials into the pouch. Right now, the pouch can often be recycled with other films like plastic bags at store drop off locations where they exist. Best!
@PennyRich We found that the paper pouch would weigh at least twice that of the plastic pouch resulting in a larger environmental impact despite the recycled content and recyclability differences of the two materials.
