Resolution “12g” will be back at the April 11 Town Council meeting. We expect improved language to ensure school funding via any financial agreement (PILOT or not) with developers. Critical that we show our support for this resolution and show the strength of our voice.
@NewTeslaCoil @BwWatchdog lol, if only the general public was aware of the COE before that vote! haha!!! We did our best to let people know, but it was pretty well kept on the down low for such a huge project.
@NewTeslaCoil @BwWatchdog And...I’m limited on what i can build on my residential property. So yes, every property owner is subject to limits. The COE is too much, too big.
@NewTeslaCoil @BwWatchdog Actually, according to an email i have from the mayor, at the apex of the site, there were about 1800 workers. Now, they want to have 3k-4K workers and 2k parking spaces for retail and residents. So, yes, they are looking to at least triple the use of the property. It’s too much.
@NewTeslaCoil @BwWatchdog so, you're switching to prejudice as the basis of your argument? I could care less the color, gender, sex, race, or religion of new neighbors. If they're good people, that's what matters. The COE is too much for the location. It's too big. It's overdevelopment.
@NewTeslaCoil @BwWatchdog In the 60s grade sizes were the size they are now. Then there was a big dip; kids were redistricted (my family was redistricted a few times (it sucks)); hamilton closed. Then the Milltown Rd development started w/"no need for more schools"...then we had to build Milltown school
@NewTeslaCoil @BwWatchdog Larry - we're not fear mongering. We're talking about hundreds of new students coming from multiple developments around town.
