Well, something else that isn't mentioned is that Pelley, shortly after, publicly talked about other team's prospects (including #gohabsgo ) and butchered their names. Yes, BT was terrible but Pelley is equally incompetent. This systemic failure trickles down from the top.

@GrumpaDotCA The work that Gorton/Hughes put in behind the scene just to bring him here and then allowing him to get a new deal after 1 year in the NHL should not be undersestimated. Fo that reason I say 8 X 7.5M (just before the 8 year term option disappears). Maybe they go up to 8M

J'ai eu des discussions très intéressantes la semaine dernière mais j'attendais que la poussière retombe avant de les partager.

On m'a confirmé qu'advenant une situation où Connor McDavid voudrait quitter Edmonton, le #CH serait sur sa très courte liste de quelques équipes où il accepterait d'être échangé. Ou de signer s'il atteint sa pleine autonomie le 1er juillet 2028.

Lorsqu'il est venu à Montréal pour le Grand Prix de F1, il en a profité pour visiter certains quartiers à Brossard et Westmount.

Montréal et New York (Rangers) seraient donc deux des quelques endroits qu'il considérerait.

Attention: Je ne suis pas en train de dire que McDavid a pris une décision et/ou demandé une transaction aux Oilers. Je ne suis pas en train de dire que McDavid s'en vient à Montréal. Je ne suis pas en train de dire que le CH serait prêt à vider son club pour acquérir McDavid. Je dis simplement que si sa décision éventuelle est de quitter Edmonton, le CH est un candidat de choix sur sa liste.

À noter qu'il a présentement une clause complète de non-mouvement. Il a donc le "gros bout du bâton" à propos de sa prochaine destination (si prochaine destination il y a) donc il ne sera pas question d'être échangé au plus offrant.

@Hab_A_Cold_One Listen, just like the players MSL has room to grow and learn. He faced the team that basically created the blueprint for the style of hockey the Habs are playing. They had many failures to get to where they are now. It's a learning process
