Always said, as a compliment, there is a bit of #AlanPartridge in everyone who’s worked in radio...
... and this proves my point...
Excellent work... #LineofDuty
Ever wondered how dramatic a newsroom is?
We’re basically AC-12 but with press cards instead of warrant badges, and we’re armed with microphones instead of guns.

Albania v England on full delay, cos I was out getting my #coronavirus vaccination...
...and like the Likely Lads, avoiding the score
...and impressed they gave decent time to the excellent Big Match Revisited: A gr8 weekly look-back

Around 25 per cent of 50-54s YET to be vaccinated.
I’ve got mine later, at the #Brighton Centre. From Genesis and John Denver to the jab.
If you’re stalling, you’re not helping.

@ITVCharlotte Nice when family and friends see you on the TV...
I was once leading a news conference on
@SkyNewsAust, and a colleague from Bristol was getting away from it all in Perth...
...and I suddenly appear on the hotel TV... #CantGetAwayFromMe
Even BEFORE #coronavirus, BBC and independent #localradio, and radio in general, was a valued service to millions...
...to whom the voices were the only ones many people heard from one week to the next

Today @BBCSussex@BBCSurrey, we’ve been marking one year since the start of the first lockdown. It’s been quite a year. This is an interesting read from my boss Chris Burns, who oversees the BBC Local Radio network: https://t.co/BOiZ2qgjlQ
@RosamundUrwin Mmm... I heard ”... shaken to its core...” twice on the same news bulletin last night, in different contexts, in successive reports, by different reporters...
Watching #GraceITV, the channel’s new Sunday night drama, for the second time...
... and good attention to detail on the front page of The Argus, the daily paper in Sussex...
Actor John Simm, #Grace, pictured outside Brighton magistrates’ court
@Ng1412Nh @Oscarbunson@greatesthitsuk@simonmayo@VirginRadioUK You think the same way as @Jonnyev65 - I only tweeted earlier, about how millions will welcome Simon back into this slot, but inferred the switch to commercial radio may be too much for some. Also keen to learn what drives audiences - the station, the DJ, the material or combo
@greatesthitsuk Interested to see reaction to this show. Millions'll be happy Simon Mayo's back in that slot, but, as when Eddie Mair swapped R4 for LBC, fans used to R2 will realise INR/ILR is different - ad breaks for one - and you need a skilled DJ to master a speech format on it #radio
