He wanted to take that which is ugly and untamed and transform it by the power of His love through the shedding of His blood. He has made and is making the impossible, possible in me.
But God demonstrates His own love for me, while I was still a sinner Christ died for me.Rom.5:8
Sadly, most Christians today ignore the devil, instead of resisting him in Jesus’ name...
“Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith.”
1 Peter 5:8-9
I came across these questions from a few years ago. I think they are worth revisiting.
•What do you chase after?
•What temporary things do you
try to make ultimate things?
•What do you desire and dream
about that God doesn’t and
heaven isn’t?
Promises made by God are kept by God. He works who will reverse it? (Is.43:13).
"For Zion's sake I will not hold My peace, And for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, And her salvation as a lamp that burns."
Psalm 62:1
@Carole_Sparks I took piano for four years. At the time I didn't like it much because I could never get my left and right hand to play together. It was always a challenge. Now, I am glad I took piano.
Cute pic!!
One danger of having experience in ministry is that you can be tempted to do things the same way you’ve done them in the past. God may want you to do something new. He may want you to speak to the rock instead of striking the rock. Listen to God’s voice more than your experience.
Me: looking at a friend's Instagram post in Spanish.
K: (6 yrs) What's that?
Me: A book in Spanish for kids about Jesus.
K: I wonder what dogs sound like in Spanish.
Me: They bark the same.
K: Then how do they understand what people say?
Me: They learn no is no & yes is si.
"Wrestle, fight, go forward, watch, fear, believe, pray; and then ye have the infallible symptoms of one of the elect of Christ within you." ~ Samuel Rutherford
After they went out and performed miracles, Jesus said to His disciples, "rejoice because your names are written in heaven."
Isn't it interesting that heaven has an address book?
Those who's names are found in this book will dwell with Him forever! Rev 20:12-15, 3:5...
O Lord my God, I cried out to You and You healed me. O Lord, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
Psalm 30:3
As God's partners, we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of God's kindness and then ignore it. For God says,
"At just the right time I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you."
Indeed the "right time" is now. Today is the day of Salvation.
2 Corinthians 6:1-2
@Carole_Sparks I am so glad I'm not the only one who does that! Growing up we were only allowed to stay in our pajamas if we were sick... It happens rarely but it's nice on the occasion that it does. I also tend to catch up on blogs at once too...
