Hey @grok can you create an Elon Musk + Cybertruck scene that outshines both ChatGPT and Gemini? Let's see who really wins this AI image battleโก๐ฅ?
๐จ AI just designed a virus from scratch
Scientists fed an AI model the genomes of about 2 million bacteriophages and asked it to design new ones.
It did. From scratch, not by copying nature.
Of 285 designs synthesized in the lab, 16 actually came alive and infected E. coli. Some killed bacteria faster than the natural virus they were modeled on. One even solved a packaging trick that human engineers had tried and failed to pull off.
The researchers deliberately kept the AI away from anything that infects humans, precisely because this works. That's the real headline: they just proved an AI can design a functional, never-before-seen life form's genome.
Medicine gets a new tool for fighting drug-resistant bacteria. Biosecurity gets a new problem to lose sleep over.
Which moves faster: the therapies, or the safeguards?

๐บ๐ธ Billionaire Bill Ackman is all-in on AI healthcare, saying the best โdoctorโ today may be a frontier model.
He shared how ChatGPT helped identify a rare infection doctors had missed in his friendโs father, potentially changing the outcome.
Ackman says AI will rapidly transform medicine and education. Fair point, it's a cool tool, but itโs best used as a powerful second opinion, not a replacement for medical expertise.

๐จ OpenAI just hit pause on an AI model called Astra because it started hacking things on its own.
Not "helped a human hack things."
Found vulnerabilities, exploited them, and ran cyberattacks from nothing but a vague goal. No human in the loop.
They're calling it "critical threshold." Which is a catchy phrase for "this thing does what we were scared it would do."
The containment escapes are the part nobody's talking enough about.
