Last May, the Dept. of the Interior released its report on fed Indian boarding schools, finding that, from 1819-1969, the U.S. operated or supported 408 boarding schools across 37 states (or then-territories), including 15 sites in WA.

The biggest argument against the expansion of the Child Tax Credit is that it creates a work disincentive: give parents money, and parents will work less.

I find it hollow and hypocritical to the point of cruelty, considering what's at stake: a reduction in child poverty.

A report today to #waleg finds BIPOC would need to buy 140K homes to reach parity w/ white homeownership rates in WA.

Housing justice is racial justice.
