The left-wing extremist who is accused of murdering my colleague Ann Widdecombe and targeting my friend Nigel Farage "held an extreme left-wing mindset".
Now ask yourself:
Where is the big national debate about left-wing extremism?
Where are the BBC documentaries and podcasts about left-wing extremism?
Where are the calls to warn children in schools and universities about left-wing extremism?
Where are the government 'counter-terror units' stating that if you read, say, Karl Marx or Antonio Gramsci then you are "on a pathway to terror"?
Where are the think-tanks producing major research reports on left-wing extremism and its followers?
Where are the multi-million pound research grants going to academics who investigate left-wing terror?
If it was far-right we all know what would happen. Wall to wall blanket coverage, analysis, and debate.
Does anybody else notice the silence?
@iamstillyvonne@RoyalKimmich You're right it doesn't. It is a long process. "Just talk to people" is the beginning of a journey, not the journey itself.
Opening up to people means you can get help.
@RoyalKimmich You do matter. Everything you did and still do matters. You happened. You are smart. You are kind. You are strong. Big, strong man.
But you need a little bit of help at the moment, then you can be stronger.
Call 111.
@RoyalKimmich Your life has value. You are important. You are unique. Yes, it feels dark and lonely right now but as soon as you put yourself into the light, people will notice and help you. Your body is telling you something is not right with your mind at the moment - listen to it.
