@icealionug On Christmas Eve, I found a mother stranded at the taxi park with two kids and no fare. I gave her my transport money and walked home. Cold feet, warm heart. Best Christmas gift I ever gave. 🎄❤️ #MerryChristmas#BetterTogether
@pmutoni848@FrankGashumba By the time your wife calls you ‘papa’, a word only used to refer to one’s father, then it means that you are old enough to be her father. Which begs the question, why is she married to her father’s peers and contemporaries? I am only making an observation but not judging!😳😳😳
Those are the genius minds in police and NRM-O!Trying to stop NUP convoys passing thought the populated townships on tbose tarmac roads and also delay Bobi Wine in reaching destinations. So they push BWine to pass in DEEPER RURAL AREAS far from tarmaced roads. Saw police also do it to Nandala in the East.
I personally don't think the police or the overzealous NRM-O operatives are breaking any law here. Just using DARK ARTS to gain advantage like we see in Foodball. Not illegal but perhaps UNETHICAL?
But what interests me is how it has worked wonders for NUP and it's Leader. Rather than being a disadvantage to Bobi, it's 'MANA'(advantage)from heaven. To millions watching TV, who have never been to Bushenyi, to Kanungu, to Kisolo, and haven't seen those new roads there, like those in Northern and Eastern Uganda, the picture of the quality of roads in Uganda is what they see Bobi and Mafabi endure and show on TV. The improvised wooden pieces for cars to cross rivers, the poor peasants in these deep villages who see a Presidential candidate for the fist time and absolutely love it; the poverty in the far villages that these pple are diverted to pass, etc.
Funny thing, Bobi still manages to reach the people in trading centres and cities. Though sometimes late. But he does.
So if I was asked as a trade-off; letting Bobi use the good tarmac roads to swiftly address people and go, and making him go round deep in villages, where he meets improvished peasants, broken by poverty, and advertise a BROKEN ROAD SYSTEM wherever he is passing, what makes sense? But I'm not that """"clever""""", so let me leave it here!
If polygamy is permitted in a legal system, then fairness and equality demand that polyandry (where one woman marries multiple men) should also be legal. We cannot claim to respect freedom of choice or cultural diversity if those freedoms are only extended to men.
Every year on 17th May, we all play Freshly Mwamburi’s song 🎶STELLA WANGU🎶 on Repeat. As he narrates the arrival of his Stella at JKIA, with a Kid in her hands and her Japanese hubby 4 inches tall, it hits us in the nerves how it pains to love where you are unloved.
Stella Wangu
Freshley Mwamburi
Nilikua na mchumba wangu
Tulipendana kama chama choma
Alibahatika kwenda ngambo
Chuo kikuu kwenda kusoma
Miaka mitatu kule Japani
Kusomea udakitari, Stella wangu eeeh
Nilikua na mchumba wangu
Pendant kama chama choma
Alibahatika kwenda ngambo
