#Christmas reminds us that God makes Himself known by drawing near to us, not in grandiose events or by revealing Himself from afar. God does not remain in some inaccessible heaven, but comes to meet us in the very heart of our ordinary lives. He shows us that daily life, just as it is, can become the place to encounter God.
We were created to rejoice in life, and life in abundance (Jn 10:10). This deep desire of our hearts never finds its ultimate answer in power or possessions. Only the Risen Jesus is the wellspring that satisfies our infinite thirst for fullness, which the Holy Spirit imbues into our hearts. #GeneralAudience
Pope: Sometimes we think the Lord comes only during spiritual fervor, when we feel worthy, when our lives appear orderly & bright. Instead, he is close to us in our failures, frayed relationships, our daily struggles, the doubts that discourage us. Nothing is foreign to him.
Let us #PrayTogether that the leaders of nations may be free from the temptation to use wealth against humanity, turning it into weapons that destroy peoples and monopolies that demean workers. Whoever serves God becomes free from wealth, but whoever serves wealth remains its slave! Whoever seeks justice transforms wealth into the common good; whoever seeks domination transforms the common good into the prey of their own greed.
The exorcist of the diocese of Rome, Father Gabriele Amorth, managed to obtain in his countless exorcisms some disturbing phrases related to the Eucharistic Adoration. These words, torn from demons, reveal the extraordinary power of being in the presence of the Holy Sacrament.
Here are these phrases:
• “Here he is, hidden in that white bread! But he is not hidden from us; we see him and his light burns us. It's like a fire we can't put out!”
• “That piece of bread isn’t just bread. It's He, the same one who threw us out of heaven! “We hate it, but we can’t get close! "
• “If human beings knew who really exists, the whole world would kneel and we would be defeated forever!”

This is destroying us from the inside!”

'To live without faith, without a heritage to defend, without battling constantly for truth, is not to live but to ‘get along’; we must never just ‘get along’'
Pier Giorgio Frassati
Cultivating our heart takes effort. It is the greatest work. Yet by digging deep and humbling ourselves, we draw ever closer to the Lord, who emptied Himself to become like us.
St. Charbel has over 29,000 recorded miracles attributed to his intercession.
It all began the night he was buried in 1898, after a life lived in total union with Christ and His Church.
