Aster × frikartii 'Mönch' filling the borders now. This is a long flowering herbaceous perennial giving a huge bang for your buck. Highly recommend. #aster #inmygardentoday

Bramble - a super resource for many pollinators. Also key for birds in autumn? One of the best things you can do for insect conservation is tidy up less outside. Leave some bramble patches. Insects love them. #BeesNeeds

Another tall bearded Iris from my collection. I have no idea where it came from so have never known it’s name but I think it could be Iris ‘Jane Phillips’. It’s beautiful scent is more noticeable in the evening. No filter applied as you cannot improve perfection. #iris

I spotted this delicate Aquilegia flowering amongst the clouds of cow parsley at Charlea Community Gardens in Brimscombe this morning. I love pretty wild flowers (you might have guessed already). There is so much beauty to enjoy in the world if you take the time to look for it.
