The Johannesburg Zoo is in desperate need of food for their wildlife. If you could donate the trimmings of False Olive and Acacia to the Johannesburg Zoo, you will literally save the lives of the animals there. They will come immediately to remove branches and bark for the elephants, eland, buffalo and giraffes to eat.
Johannesburg Zoo list of indigenous trees that their herbivores eat:
- Sickle bush tree
- Tamboti
- Knob Tree
- Bushwillow
- Buffalo thorn
- Mulberry
- White stinkwood
- Rhus Lancea
- False Olive
- Yellowwood
- Fever tree
- Natal Mahogany
- Weeping boer bean
