If technology becomes the ultimate criterion, the human person risks being reduced to data, a cog in a machine or a commodity. If, however, technology is integrated with a wise perspective, it can become an instrument of growth, justice and fraternity. #MagnificaHumanitas
The need for greater cooperation amongst Christians in the face of today’s challenges - peace, the proper use of new technologies and care for creation - stems from the Gospel of Jesus Christ itself. Our responsibility for the life and dignity of every human being, especially the youngest and most needy, is the criterion that will determine our present and eternal destiny (Mt 25:31–46). #ChristianUnity
Today we celebrate the Peter's Pence collection. I sincerely thank all those who, through their generosity, support my ministry as the Successor of Peter. Let us continue to walk together in faith and communion.
Today we celebrate the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, the Patrons of Rome. The blood they shed in this city reveals the depth of God’s love that the Lord Jesus has given us. https://t.co/ukBkzFPkPW
This day of celebration draws us into the mission of Peter and Paul, that is, into the mission of Jesus himself. God places his trust in us, imperfect but forgiven sinners, so that his grace may shine through our lives, and his power that transforms evil into good may be revealed.
It is important for us today to look to these two Saints — Peter and Paul — to understand how we, in turn, can be apostles and builders of unity, and generous servants of the truth in charity. https://t.co/gDdqZLJAp7
I wish to express my solidarity with our Venezuelan brothers and sisters affected by the recent earthquakes, which have caused numerous deaths and injuries, as well as extensive damage to property. Praying to the Lord for the eternal rest of the deceased, I renew my spiritual solidarity with their families, the injured, and all who have been shaken by this tragedy. I also wish to express my gratitude and encouragement to those generously working on search and rescue efforts and providing assistance.
According to the #GospelOfToday (Mt 10:37–42), those who hold on to their lives merely for themselves actually lose them, for they do not open themselves to the joy of love and thus become barren. This is why Jesus invites us to embrace the cross. He offered himself, lost himself, and in this very way we were enabled to receive his life in abundance.
These days have strengthened my hope. Not only because of what we shared, but because of the way we did so. In a time marked by polarization, even the way in which the Church listens and engages in dialogue becomes part of her proclamation. If we are able to continue seeking the will of the Lord together, allowing ourselves to be guided by the Holy Spirit, I am certain that our communion will become ever more fruitful for the mission of the Church and for service to the entire human family.

Let us entrust these days of the #ExtraordinaryConsistory to the Holy Spirit, that He may make us docile to His voice and grant us the grace to seek together what best serves the Gospel and the good of the People of God. #PrayTogether
Communion is never an achievement acquired once and for all. It requires a daily conversion, taking shape in prayer and through concrete attitudes, relationships of trust, and a willingness to listen to one another. #ExtraordinaryConsistory
I would like to draw from the Word of God several indications for our discernment during this #ExtraordinaryConsistory. First, the example of Saints Peter and Paul encourages us to share true freedom in faith. Our relationship with the Lord Jesus frees us from sin and fear. The proclamation of the Gospel bears fruit in proportion to our faith in Him. https://t.co/yC7qrnhnRu
Second, let us ask for the gift of peace in unity. As we invite all peoples to faith, in which we are truly free, international tensions and conflicts are gravely wounding the human family. Yet, in the Church and in the world, initiatives are multiplying that call for respect for human dignity, justice, law, and simply what is humane. This is a reason for hope, because it bears witness to the beauty of God’s work.
Third, today and always, let us savour concord in obedience, that is, in listening that recognizes the gift of the Word made flesh for us. Through this exercise, the Holy Spirit guides us, indicating pastoral problems and opportunities, purifying intentions, and correcting whatever deviates from our shared path.
We cannot consider #AI to be morally neutral. In reality, every technical tool embodies choices and priorities through what it measures, ignores, and optimizes, and how it classifies people and situations. Ethical discernment cannot be limited to asking whether we are using a system for good or bad purposes. It must also examine how that system is designed and what vision of the human person and society is embedded in the data and models that guide it. #MagnificaHumanitas
For AI to respect human dignity and truly serve the common good, responsibility must be clearly defined at every stage: from those who design and develop these systems to those who use them and rely on them for concrete decisions. It must be possibile to identify who must “account” for decisions, justify them, monitor them, and, when necessary, challenge them and remedy any harm caused.
We are called to celebrate the Eucharist at the altar of the Lord, but also in daily life, where it is possible to live everything as an offering and an act of thanksgiving. #GeneralAudience
Dear writers, we need your imagination, your narrative creativity and your lively thinking. We need these to create spaces of freedom and authenticity, within which divine grace can make the promise of consolation and peace resound. https://t.co/FEmCrdQ392
This month’s prayer intention is that sports may be an instrument of peace, encounter, and dialogue among cultures and nations. May sports promote values such as respect, solidarity, and personal growth. Take a moment. Let us #PrayTogether, at https://t.co/S3TtsnB6oT
