Eric Lavién here! Fact of the Day: the artwork for the upcoming single "Hopecatcher" I worked on it initially making for a cover song I did that's "Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Öyster Cult. But in the end decided not to release the cover, as I think it's way too much difficult and there are too many hassles when covering a song. Beside the fact, that one artist must pay basically for life yearly royalties to the songwriter, that's a good thing. There are strictly legal requirements for a cover to be considered a cover song, and not much freedom to really creatively reinterpretate part of it, so ultimately (and sadly) decided it was not worth all the time, all the hassles and eventual issues while tributing, for now. So from that focused back and started anew to write and compose "Hopecatcher" that's the single that's coming so soon, so fast, this May 22nd. 😎🤘🍭 #storytime #behindthesong #meaning
