@MaceAhWindu Best part is learning about how they got 17000 actual Soviet soldiers to dress up in Napoleonic era uniforms, bulldozed hills, transplanted thousands of trees, and even laid miles of irrigation pipes to support all the flower beds they planted.
Insane production value lol
@BenOndaTop Do you think Jim is willing to lock him up long term once this contract is up? Feels like too special a talent to not have be an Astros lifer
@RedLReviews On paper I think this show sounded awesome when it was announced, but after season 1 released and I’ve had some time to stew on it?
I kinda wish they’d have went with a new creative lead for a Batman animated show. Try out a new art style like Batman 2004 did early on.
On paper making a show that emulates the McQuarrie art style is a really cool idea that harkens back to the roots of the franchise.
In practice though? I don’t think Rebels had nearly a sufficient enough budget to translate that style into 3D animation.
@gaisericss Been awhile since I’ve given it a read. I remember thinking the Canderous sections were pretty fun and filled in the blanks well for him between the two games.
Almost everything else though, Kotor 2 related things especially, was really rough…
@LuciaLobosvilla@GunnerDobbins Oh for sure, hence why I don’t explicitly say he’s good.
Lot of skeletons in that closet and the such which comes with being a military commander for a genocidal colonial empire.
@basicwitgirl@starwars I’d say play one of the main class stories all the way up to the Rise of the Hutt Cartel Expansion. Everything after that first expansion is extremely hit or miss story wise in my opinion.
@Basher314@GunnerDobbins Love the idea of a bunch of ex-mobsters hearing about Scarface, going “FINALLY! A real Don to work for again!”, only to then realize bro is another looney lol
@MaceAhWindu Always loved the idea of the suit/cybernetics essentially being one big trade off:
-He lost a large chunk of his force potential
BUT:
-His suits deficiencies forced him to refine his technique to such a degree that he’s basically now the best duelist in the galaxy
@GunnerDobbins I think there’s definitely a nuanced story to tell about how as the sole survivor of a genocide, Aang had some issues with being hyper focused on Tenzin’s education, but still vehemently loved Kya and Bumi.
We kinda needed one or two positive flashbacks from Kya/Bumi’s POV.
@GunnerDobbins I’m still befuddled that of all the directions they could’ve taken the franchise, they really said:
“You know how everyone has liked getting to see new original characters and stories? Let’s scrap that and make a Mandoverse packed to the brim with cameos/glup shittos.”
@MaceAhWindu Would love to see future media explore the ex-separatist faction within the Rebellion, and the beef they likely had with Mon Mothma for just giving a bunch of ex-imperials a free pass for their crimes against the Outer Rim.
@All_Lee24 The fact that the death blow happened when Maekar went into a blood rage trying to defend his son, not knowing he had just killed his brother
@tryin2bgreenman@DeMickyD Kreia being wrong is what makes the character so interesting!
Sure she makes some fair points, but the entirety of Kotor II (and arguably pieces of Kotor I with Revan) does a lot to show the failings of her ideology. Failings which, once examined, make her character fascinating.
