@heymrsbond I still would make them finish the snack before going back…sending with snacks sends a message to staff and students. That said…if being “hangry” is the issues, I share that and document it (so I don’t get fooled by the student)
@edudissenter A student in elem. school asked me why I was picking up paper towels from around the bathroom garbage can…I simply said “because this is our school and that is the right thing to do.” He helped me the following day…then others did…
It’s so common place…they don’t even know.

Pressure of testing, graduation reqs & achievement takes the “fun” out of upper grades.
To some extent-MUCH less than those listed above-some elementary teachers teach kids-secondary leans toward content.
