The parrot wouldn't let go even after they packed up their stuff, so she asked her parents to adopt him which they eventually did after a lot of nagging. She named him Kiwi and they quickly connected to each other in a special way as they spent a lot of time together.

When She hit 17 years old, she discovered that in those 17 years, almost 120 kinds of species have gone extinct. This made her very emotional as she saw this in her beloved kiwi. And so she began to organize protests with her friends against environmental preaches.

She eventually trained him to do multiple things; of which the most important was warning her about the potential danger lurking around her while she was camping in the wild.
