You can actually decide to just course-correct and fix your horribly fucked up life even in your later years, even when you’re old, even when you’re 23.
my sophomore album ‘emotional junglist’ is out now !! 🐚❤️
this album means the absolute world to me and i put so much of myself into this record in a way that feels massively vulnerable and fucking exposing. but that’s what emotional junglist is. emotional junglist is not a jungle record. it’s alternative, experimental, and very fucking weird. it’s nia archives.

telling your brain "i know you don't wanna do the thing and it'll be very uncomfortable for you at first but you can do it buddy. it'll be fine" is actually surprisingly effective. it sounds too simple but that fuckass organ WILL listen to you if you treat it with kindness lol

What I find interesting
Barbossa and Davy Jones are evil reflections of Jack and Will
Barbossa and Jack are both in love with the freedom the pirate way of life gives them and the Black Pearl, but Jack regardless still adheres to a set of morals that Barbossa (especially in the first movie) didn’t have
The tragic love story between Jones and Calypso is an obvious parallel between I and Elizabeth
And with Will becoming the 2nd Captain of The Dutchman Jones gives a literal image of what Will would be if he betrayed his duty and love
Saturn is in fall in Aries bc mastery (Saturn) can’t be rushed (Aries). This transit is forcing humility, we all were once beginners, it’s important to stay connected to that if we ever plan on climbing the ladder. Stay aware of your faults, Saturn in Aries says stop preaching when you still have so much to finish first.

Beauty as the five functions of the Divine 💘💐
It’s Friday so I’m naturally thinking of beauty.
Beauty has always been dismissed as something superficial, but I’ve been wondering if beauty is actually one of the deepest ways God acts in the world.
In Sri Vidya, Lalita Tripurasundari performs the five cosmic functions: creation, sustenance, dissolution, concealment and grace. The Lalita Sahasranama praises her as Srishtikartri (the Creatrix), Goptri (the Protectress and Sustainer), Samharini (the Dissolver), Tirodhanakari (She who conceals), and Sadasivanugrahada (She who grants grace even to Sadasiva). These are the rhythmic cycles through which existence unfolds.
The more I’ve contemplated this, the more I’ve come to feel that a woman’s beauty reflects these same five movements.
Beauty creates: Before anything has happened outwardly, beauty creates entire worlds within consciousness. It gives birth to longing, imagination, poetry, devotion and possibility. A single glimpse of beauty can become an entire universe in someone’s heart. ऐं
Beauty sustains: It nourishes the senses and reminds us that life is worth inhabiting. Whether it’s the beauty of a face, a home lovingly cared for, kind words, flowers offered to the Divine or food prepared with love, beauty sustains us just as deeply as anything material. श्रीं
Beauty dissolves. We often imagine destruction as something harsh, but beauty has its own terrifying power. It humbles us, silences the mind. It dissolves the ego until there is only wonder left. It’s when one moves beyond the self. क्लीं
Beauty conceals and this is perhaps the most mysterious function. Beauty is the veil through which the Goddess hides Herself, for She is the deepest wisdom. The Goddess enchants us first because enchantment is how She invites us inward. ह्रीं
And finally, beauty is grace. Grace is the revelation that transforms the previous four. It is the realization that beauty was never pointing toward itself. It was always pointing toward God. ॐ
This also made me think differently about the five flower arrows of Kamadeva that Lalita herself holds. First we are drawn, then sustained, then undone, then left in mystery, until finally grace reveals what was always hidden. Maybe this is why beauty has such extraordinary power over us. Not because it is shallow, but because it is one of the ways the Goddess governs reality.
l've also started wondering whether anything is ever truly ugly. Perhaps what we call ugliness is simply beauty. Grace reveals what could not yet be seen. Maybe that's why beauty has always felt a little like fantasy to me and I think it's because true beauty feels almost impossible. It bends reality just enough to make the ordinary feel enchanted. Beauty has a way of making the world feel more magical than it did a moment ago.
And maybe that's why I love women so much.
Women have an instinct to beautify everything they touch. We braid flowers into our hair, light candles for no reason, spend hours choosing ribbons, perfume, jewelry, fabrics, recipes, music, poetry and art.
In doing so, we're participating in the Goddess herself, who never stops making the world more beautiful than it was yesterday.
Beauty has always been one of God's most miraculous ways of loving the world.
