Imagine a big ole bald eagle is clutching a MoonPie in one talon and you in the other one and you’re flying over a mountain and there’s fireworks and you’re just kinda nibbling on that MoonPie while America happens all around you imagine that
Freddy, check out Battleship Memorial Park. It sits on the bay between Fairhope and Mobile and you will never get another chance to see and walk around on a WWII battleship as in depth as you can there. Also reiterating what a bunch of other comments have said, you HAVE TO TRY FOOSACKLYS
Roman Paganism is dead.
Gnosticism is dead.
Manichaeism is dead.
Norse religion is dead.
Marx is dead.
Bolshevism is dead.
Nietzsche is dead.
Evangelicalism is dying.
But the Catholic Church stands eternal — alive, growing, and boldly preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations.
The gates of Hell shall not prevail.
Peace be with you friend. I am a cradle Catholic, had religion classes in Catholic school from k-12 and fell away from the faith for 9 years. I came back about a year ago, have been heavily studying the bible, and am more sure of my Catholic faith and more proud than ever to profess that faith to my overwhelmingly Protestant peers (I live in the Deep South)
@TylerBirkey@Catholic_bro Great, we agree there. The only difference is that we believe that if you unrepentantly do the things that God tells us not to do then we can jeopardize our salvation.
@TylerBirkey@Catholic_bro Brother, following the commandments doesn’t earn your salvation, but breaking them can absolutely cause you to lose salvation.
If that’s too hard for you to understand I’ll pray very hard for you, but I suspect you’re being intentionally obtuse.
@farmingandJesus@counseloftrent You gotta be some kind of crazy illiterate to read this and still not understand that catholics do not believe works are required for salvation.
Either you’re illiterate or just outright lying, in which case repent.
Catholics do NOT believe they are saved by an arbitrary combination of “faith and works.”
We instead believe that we are saved by grace, and after that point, we will reach our final salvation in heaven if we do NOT permanently reject God’s offer of salvation here on earth.
The only “work” a Catholic must do to be saved is avoiding the evil work of forsaking God and his grace.
Troy is now 8-4 in year 2 of their rebuild. They have won the west division.
We weren’t hit nearly as hard as them, yet we’re 4-8, sitting at home this December.
We need changes.
