If you're a public official and you're frightened of the public seeing a record of what you've done, if you're worried the public will be angry w/ you when they see it, you have thoroughly justified making those records public. #ncpol#ncga#AndrewBrownJr#BlackLivesMatter

For over 10 days now, around half the residents of Jackson, Mississippi have not had running water.
And nobody is talking about it on a national scale.
I am begging the national media to please pay attention. There is a crisis happening in Jackson.
There is a deep problem in our democracy when the Executive branch is willing to bend over backwards to defer to arcane Senate rules to deny Americans a $15 wage but at the same time ride roughshod over Congressional rules & procedures to launch military strikes abroad.
A study by Purdue university shows that a $15 minimum wage for McDonald’s workers would raise the cost of a big mac by just 17 cents. Share if you wouldn’t mind paying a little extra for your meal if the person who made it could earn a living wage!
Sorry we're not going to be able to do the $2000 checks thing, or the cancelling student debt thing, or the $15 minimum wage thing. Would you accept payment in the form of social media "dunking" on Senate Republicans instead?
Things to fight like hell for:
-$15 minimum wage
-Ending child poverty
-$2,000 direct payments
-Canceling student debt
-Tuition free public colleges
-Medicare for All
-The Green New Deal
-Legal marijuana
Things to NOT fight like hell for:
-The filibuster
-The Byrd Rule
Krysten Sinema and Joe Manchin say a $15 minimum wage doesn’t belong in a Covid relief bill.
Here’s what I say: if you’re not willing to help people suffering during a pandemic, you don’t belong in Congress.
Dems fight for a $15 minimum wage, when it should be over $20.
Dems fight for a $1400 one-time payment when it should be $3K monthly.
Dems expand the child cages when they should shut them down.
Dems politely ask ICE to be nice when they should abolish ICE.
Notice a pattern?
