Heathkit H8 Computer https://t.co/4euISEt58P via @YouTube
Fun project so far. I’m still working on the H9 terminal. If anyone remembers the Star Trek game popular in the 1970s, that was the first official game I played on this system. #heathkit#RETROGAMING#RetroComputing
@sincespacies The first arcade I ever went to had 4 pinball machines, a Space Invaders, and an Asteroids machine. Space Invaders was my favorite until Missile Command hit the scene.

This was my second time at Savi’s Workshop at Galaxies Edge, and it was still a blast. I would love to get all of the scrap metal for all 4 lightsaber types, but that would be expensive! Have you been to Savi’s, what did you think? #StarWars#lightsaber

@TechTimeTravel Watched the video, and wow. Amazing pieces of personal computing history. I remember reading the construction articles back in the 70s and dreamed of building them both, but was too poor as I was just a teen back then.
I picked up this Heathkit VT-5A VTVM (1951) and found that it still had a battery inside that dates from 1951. Amazingly the battery has not leaked, I guess that’s why it’s called a leak proof battery. Amazingly it still measures 1.43 V. Is that even possible?!! @eevblog
@gwssrox So cool that you now have this from your old school days. My dream would be to have my old high school’s PDP8. That was my first programming experience, and first real hardware hands-on.
