Year 2. Primary Teacher. Passionate about supporting SEND. Maths lead. Love reading and exploring new ideas. Spare time activities include running and sewing.
still stuck in no internet hell for an undisclosed amount of time! 😢 Any suggestions on how to progress this?
I’m out of ideas. Tired of speaking to @bt_uk to be told they’re doing their best! And it’s not their fault?! @BT_Openreach are not fit for purpose imo.
Do not switch to BT fibre broadband! Sounds amazing but @WeAreOpenreach can’t deliver. We’re now disconnected from previous provider but looking at another 2 weeks at least (waited 2 weeks already). Come on! @bt_uk sort it out! Not good enough.
❤️❤️❤️ this. Asked the children to draw a picture of their favourite characters or parts (so far) from @CRSains Slugs invade the Jam Factory. They took a lot home but let me keep these. #lovereading#ks1
• talks to children about being a girl with ADHD
• CPD around inclusivity for neurodivergent staff
• resource creation (speciality: books/reading/English/primary)
• writing blogs and articles
But if there’s anything else too, please ask!
@primaryteachew Yep great idea. Mine would be.
✳️ go to the gym & run every week
✳️ make a healthy lunch every day
✳️ write down a positive thought/success every day
@primaryteachew I wonder if the issue now is there literally are ‘plenty more fish in the sea’ (on the app) so there’s no incentive to let a relationship develop over time. It has to be ‘chemistry ‘ in 1or2 dates or move on. (Not you ofc). You’ll find them. Take a break to remember your Worth
@annecater Hell no. I do the research, check dates, book the holiday, sort out paperwork, pack for me and kids. He packs for himself.
I used to pack for both of us (before kids). He moaned once I forgot his swimming shorts. Reader, I never packed for him again. 😂
@FunkyPedagogy I hate pen licenses. Luckily my school doesn’t have them. So demoralising for those kids who don’t have the motor skills or development and those who would just find it much easier to write with a pen anyway.
@primaryteachew I’m with you. Still 3 days to go. Anyone else really struggling for planning next week? Finding it difficult to strike the balance between structure and more free flow when both the child children and I are basically done for the summer.
@zubiedoo I couldn’t watch. This is horrific. Have the no understanding of ARFID and Autism? I’m really hoping they have help from people they will listen to so they can get her out.
@CarrieGrant1 The situation countrywide is awful. A friend has set up a sponsorship and sharing page (https://t.co/aDUHTsNK8I) Take a look at the SEND kids to Downing Street Challenge. Let’s share our stories and take an opportunity to group together to try to influence change from the top.
I met @emmagoto@EducationFest. We had a lovely chat about defiance vs compliance. This article has made me reflect on my language choices. Wouldn’t vs can’t. https://t.co/OhJWecUCdy
Just a lovely little art activity this afternoon in Year 2. We needed this. Thank you to @Primaryteachew and @teacherglitter for the inspo and planning to work from. They enjoyed it and every one is unique. #edutwitter#ks1#endofyear
🧵I’m reading lots of very well constructed threads by women trying to explain to men why crashing any conversation about male violence against women with “#NOTALLMEN” is unhelpful and exhausting…
Trouble is, the kind of guys who leap in with #notallmen (and I used to be one)…
