@KoolSuh Jet doesn't really have wind powers either. He just uses items to do so. Even if Sonic doesn't have actual wind manipulation, at least his NATURAL speed makes it seem that way. Sonic Wave, Sonic Wind, Blue Tornado, vanishing into the wind, his dead spirit being in the wind ect.

@StarstormSkies Though one thing I commend idw for is eggman’s character. Eggman does feel like the one from the games but better imo. He’s evil as shit and menacing. Boc hasn’t shown that so far

@StarstormSkies Blade of courage might not do anything interesting and it’s safe but it has that pure early 2000s sonic feel. It’s authentic and sincere in how it portrays the characters. It doesn’t make weird plot contrivances just to force fake conflict

@furious_pie @KingpinThawne No it’s not that simple. People don’t have a problem with the sonic cast losing. But it’s how they lose. Idw writes the cast as street tiers and makes them lose to absolute dumb crap. They artificially make fake tension because they’re lazy writers.

@Zhane_Star Imo Sonic's world works best when it's 'realistic-esque' humans with anthro hedgehogs. It really gives em that edge and unique identity, like these cartoony colorful characters are within our world, dealing with heart-breaking problems.

@TextopOnDaTwitr And yes I know IDW COMICS for some reason, love to downplay Sonic and cast to street level, but that's just really stupid writing on their part. Almost every sonic media besides IDW portrays sonic as a force of nature. Look at blade of courage manga for example.

@TextopOnDaTwitr I say this because Sonic in games casually busts through entire egg fleets, destroys chains that connects planets, busts through large robots with ease, and fights city-sized creatures like perfect chaos.

@KlingerDrake_ @ItsJustPup Characters don't have to be looney tunes level to have GAGS to em. Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, DBZ are shows aimed at teens/young adults, but there's still ALOTTA GAGS in them; and many are very exaggerated gags.

@ChaomasterZ @ShadowxElsa @AdriWindGB Frontiers is still moreso more towards the positive side. It has more positive reviews on steam, it's audience score is VERY high, and it sold very well. It quite literally shifted Sonic's trajectory in the 2020s more than anything else. You even had non-sonic tubers playing it.
