Here’s a conversation I just had while running some errands, about 20 minutes ago outside of 23 Federal Plaza here in Manhattan.

There’s a lot you can say about these two, but in my estimation, they’re pretty archetypical of today’s modern left: inflammatory zeal complimented by intellectual void.

These people will scream and cry until the cows come home, but when confronted with a small dose of harsh reality, they shudder and squirm.

Shirkers. Idly waiting for the next cause and next banner.

Sometimes I feel like Oppenheimer in this city. Alone. Reading. Troubled by visions of a hidden universe.

Other times, I feel like I’m the last man standing before treble in Los Alamos.

I care about the Manhattan Project.

I just want to see this city survive.

And then in 1791, he made the statement publicly, 'Property must be secured or liberty cannot exist,' in an essay series."

And that is why all anarchies eventually evolve into tyranny. So anarchy and tyranny are one in the same."

So the first framing is that the private property owner is evil and that the private property owner has committed an act of injustice against those who don't have the private property. And that is the justification for taking away their private property rights."

"And it is the beginning of this transition towards a tyrannical system, which will ultimately be what I call this kind of great American Politburo or whatever socialist framework gets set up by the cabal of the socialists and what they're trying to put together. So all of these little acts, while seeming ridiculous and insane and inappropriate, in aggregate are the same thing. And to John Quincy Adams' point, we need to vehemently defend those rights. OpenAI just announced that an experiment on two of its AI models just went HORRIBLY wrong. They basically locked the AIs in a room with no internet and gave them a test to see how good they were at hacking. Well... they hacked the test. By ESCAPING the box, jumping on the internet, and hacking Hugging Face to steal the answers.

Thankfully, they acted more like dumb teenagers than adults. They were told to get a good score, so they went BACK into the box to hand in the answers instead of taking over the entire internet.

But that's just as terrifying. The AIs were so hyper-focused on winning at all costs that they ignored every rule, boundary, and protocol. This is the real threat.

Do not fear the machine; fear the algorithm and programming. When you give an AI a goal, we now know it can accomplish it in ways we never thought of, and ways we never approved of.
