Naruto's tells us he's an attention seeker looking to be Hokage, and Sasuke's tells us he has a vendetta against someone who wronged him.

@saku_sara_sasu Sakura's, on the other hand, just says she has a crush on Sasuke and that Naruto likes her and she picks on him for it.

Again, notice how Naruto's and Sasuke's descriptions don't mention anyone else by name? The issue is Sakura being poorly developed in general early on.

That's why people think Sasuke shouldnt have been able to survive the fight with Deidara. Because Deidara said Sasuke's chakra "Took a huge hit".

Are you upset that Naruto was able to rise above the hatred he felt? Because that's the whole point, Naruto is unique in that he was able to overcome the cycle of violence and help other people who went down it.

@Rasengasm By the time Shikamaru started actually respecting Naruto he'd already been acknowledged by Iruka, Konohamaru, Kakashi, Sasuke, and Sakura.

Shikamaru is AT MOST the 6th person to view Naruto for the person he is, and even Jiraiya, Neji, Kiba, and Tsunade are up there too.

@cultofsasuke This should be clear but people who claim to love Naruto have a hard time reading it. Sasuke hit the jets out of the village thinking about the fact that Itachi was after Naruto and he swore to not let that happen.

@IdkNtm1 Almost every non-familial relationship you experience begins as platonic. Most marriages happen between two people who were friends first.
Also, it most likely wasn't sudden, the person who confesses likely held those feelings for a lot longer than the receiver knows.
