Happy extremely late Snake Day of 2025! While Gorgosaurus might not seem snake-like by itself, the prefix of its name comes from the Greek "gorgos-" meaning "fierce" or "terrible". Some may recognize this from the Gorgons, creatures of Greek mythos heavily associated with snakes!

I'm back with a refurbished Utahraptor! This chart sports an updated posture and skull based on the BYU mount "Gaston". I referenced the mount's skull as it uses unpublished material extracted from the famous Utahraptor block so hopefully, it stands the test of time!
