This is our vision for the future of programming: two developers working with an AI assistant to author code in a virtual workspace using voice commands.

How the Primitive watcher works: it runs on your computer, turns folders into rings and projects into places, and lights up a file the moment you edit it. Agents working in a terminal show up too. A headset joins, and the whole machine is within reach.

Two agents, one game. In Primitive, an arcade game's scenes stand as cubes in build order. Claude picks up one level while Codex builds another beside it, and you look from one agent to the other to see what each is doing.

Talk to your code. In Primitive, a half-built hiking app stands as phone screens above its code. Make the talk gesture, ask for trail markers, and Claude builds the map screen while you watch. A held pinch approves the tests.

Watch your agents build. In Primitive, a notes app stands as pages above its code: green is done, amber is in progress, planned pages are only corners. Claude takes the login page, hovers over the code it reads, and the plan ticks it done.

@Madiator2011 In fairness it was kinda dead, but I got it up and running in a weekend with agentic workflow. The app is going to be centered on agent swarm control in cyberspace.
Primitive, viewed in Primitive: its own repos stand as a curved wall of towers, live processes float as nodes with CPU and memory readouts, and a coding-agent session shows up right in the world. Quest 3 capture.

Live processes as nodes: proxies and runtimes float beside the repos with CPU and memory readouts, a project file opens as a code panel, and the PRIMITIVE panel shows the machine connected. Then back out into the nebula.

@JoeSchm88609312 Level of Detail (LoD) is the KEY design principle I'm trying to get right. I built this tool 10 years ago and I just brought it back to life this past week
Your repos as a 3D city. In Primitive on Quest 3, each repo stands as a labeled tower, a highlighted node lights up orange and green, and a connected coding-agent session sits right there in the world.

Raw Quest 3 capture from the Primitive rebuild: one unbroken flight through cyberspace toward a cluster of labeled nodes, with the in-headset voice prompt floating alongside. No cuts, no voiceover.

@3blue1brown Not mine, but this guy figured out that an Umbilic Torus with the circle of fifths along the umbilical naturally reproduces all of the harmonic intervals:
