"Knight Owl" now features a new medal, at least @Primrose_School! It was awarded the esteemed Primrose Paddy Prize in our Tournament of Books, which began with a bracket of 16 titles. Congratulations @cadenise!
Thank you @BMSLibraryRI for visiting our little readers at @Primrose_School to celebrate Reading Week. It was a joy to have some of our former Primrose Pandas back in the halls again!
April is National Poetry Month, but with our #readoftheweek, "Tiger, Tiger Burning Bright Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright!: An Animal Poem for Each Day of the Year" edited by Fiona Waters, you can read all year long.
What a treat to learn from Juana Martinez-Neal today! Thank you @Primrose_School PTO for helping to bring such an accomplished and engaging author-illustrator to our school!
Our #readoftheweek is "Alma and How She Got Her Name" by award-winning author and illustrator (and future @Primrose_School visitor) Juana Martinez-Neal. What is the story of YOUR name?
Our current #readoftheweek, "One Wish" by M. O. Yuksel, is the biography of the incredible Fatima al-Fihri who established one of the world's first universities.
Our #readoftheweek, "A Perfect Fit: How Lena “Lane” Bryant Changed the Shape of Fashion" by Mara Rockliff was illustrated by soon-to-be @Primrose_School visitor Juana Martinez-Neal!

Our #readoftheweek, "Don't Hug Doug" by Carrie Finison, encourages consent and celebrates the variety of ways we can show love to one another. Happy Valentine's Day @Primrose_School!
Football season may be over, but book season has just begun! 16 books make up our bracket @Primrose_School. Who will receive the Primrose Paddy Medal? Join us each week for a head-to-head match until the Big Game in June!
1st up: Knight Owl vs. Tiny Dino
Our 2nd graders @Primrose_School were so lucky to have award winning author @AnikaDenise visit our library to share the story of the trailblazers that inspired her to work toward greater representation on every shelf.
Our #readofweek is "I Talk Like a River" by Jordan Scott, a book about a boy managing his relationship with his stutter. It was added to our library due to advocacy by some of our former 3rd graders and we are so thankful. Students have been truly entranced by the read aloud!
#LeavestoMyKnees by @ellenmayerbooks is a charming read aloud sure to be a storytime pick in the fall. Readers will love the grit of Camille as she tries to tame the fallen foliage using her very own rake. Illustrations by @nicoletadgell add joyful details. #Gifted#ReadYourWorld
“Hacking the Code” by Gea Meijering is a high-interest book about a lovable prankster navigating school & friends w/ his “Apple” brain. Written in a dyslexic-friendly font, it will be loved by kids who have similar experiences w/ or attitudes toward school. #Gifted#ReadYourWorld
Our #readoftheweek, "A Sweet New Year for Ren" by Michelle Sterling is in honor of the Lunar New Year. We're eager for pineapple cakes @Primrose_School!
