When stupidity stands in front of a camera, it becomes even louder. These days, it seems that when people fail in school or fail to succeed professionally, they turn to xenophobia as their last resort, hoping it will take them to Parliament.

What a shame that ignorance has become a political strategy. First, they started off targeting so-called illegal foreigners, which is fine because illegal immigration is not right. But now, they have shifted to attacking people who are in South Africa legally, including some who are actually South African.

When you do not understand how things are interconnected, when you have never travelled, when you do not grasp how the world truly works, you end up saying such foolish things.

The tragedy is that there are many comical minds that will see this as acceptable and normal — and that is how ignorance becomes a movement.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa is attempting to violate the constitution and extend his term of office to 2030.

A resistance movement dubbed M31, centred around a war veteran and former intelligence officer called Blessed “Bombshell” Geza, who is pro–Vice President General Chiwenga, is opposing Mnangagwa’s move.

The crowds are building up, and interestingly, the military has refrained from its usual repressive tactics.

Zimbabwean journalist and political prisoner Blessed Mhlanga will be in the Zimbabwean High Court tomorrow at 11am for the continuation of his bail appeal hearing in Harare.

I urge all progressive brothers and sisters who have time to attend the hearing to go and show Blessed Mhlanga solidarity and support.

We should never forget that he is being politically persecuted for informing us and satisfying our desire to know about the state of affairs in our broken yet beloved country! Please RETWEET so that those who can go do see this notice.

Zimbabwean journalist and political prisoner Blessed Mhlanga will be at the High Court tomorrow morning, where his legal team, led by Chris Mhike, will be appealing against the magistrate’s ruling denying him bail.

Blessed Mhlanga is a journalist being persecuted simply for practising journalism, a right enshrined in the Zimbabwean constitution.

Could all those in Harare who have time go and show him solidarity and support🙏🏿🙏🏿

It means a lot to come to court and see that the nation is behind you.
Prison is a very lonely place, especially when you are being politically persecuted, as is happening to Blessed!

One of Africa’s greatest leaders, Joshua Nkomo of Zimbabwe.

He says he picked up the gun because he had tried everything else and failed, the only language that the oppressor understood was the gun.

He recognised that sometimes, peaceful resistance isn’t enough to bring about change in the face of a violent, oppressive regime.
When all other options have been exhausted, picking up arms may be the only remaining option he said.

It’s a sobering reality that violence can sometimes be the only language that those in power understand.

Nkomo’s words serve as a reminder of the bravery and sacrifice required to fight for a better future.
