🎤 @VitalikButerin just shared some thoughtful perspectives on the long-term security of lattices and FHE in the age of AI.

It’s not a call to panic.

But the security margins now need to be taken a lot more seriously.

Here’s what actually matters: FHE remains one of the few ways to compute on encrypted data without ever decrypting it.

That value hasn’t disappeared. The threat model has simply gotten harder.

Lattice-based cryptography also offers a broader and more functional post-quantum security foundation than hash-based cryptography, especially when you need encryption, key exchange, or general computation on encrypted data.

That’s why at Primus we’re not just talking about FHE.

We’re building it carefully, with parameter choices that respect the new reality.
